No, no, they need to do the 67 plate StreetDecks on the X45/46/47 first! They can't be driving around with two interior standards one on service!

7108 & 7111 returned off loan from Coatham yesterday following the end of the school dupes. We actually had 7108 & 5324 for the last day & half due to 7111 having issues. Also had 5289 temporarily earlier in the week in its place, for a day or so!

(21 Jul 2021, 8:34 am)Train8261 wrote So is the 311 still becoming single deckers as that's been going round for ages now. It's had the odd few Scania CN230UB OmniCity on it from now and then
Was only temporary before Xmas when North East was in Tier 3 and passenger numbers lower plus the need for double deckers elsewhere at the time.

In face, quite the opposite happening as 309/310/311 will resume interworking again as almost per January 2020 changes with a PVR of 16x from next Monday (26th).

GNE will potentially need all the capacity they can get on the Coast Road given the situation with Arriva. Whereas a double decker will take high loads quite comfortably, would be pushing it allocating single deckers.

Used the new brand Sunderland and district berries they are down grade since they currently doesn't have USB ports I thought the upgrades and swap arounds were meant to have the same spec as the allocation they swaping/upgrding

It has already been said that they will be fitted with USB charging points, they just haven’t been done yet due to supplier availability (every industry is currently struggling…)

They should have them in the seat backs, those fitted to the 56s are useless, they work for five minutes then knackered.

That’s where they will be going. Not aware of any reported faults on the USBs on the Volvo B9s..?

(22 Jul 2021, 10:02 am)54APhotography wrote Any of the journeys I've used the 56 for the USB never works. They are a cheap offering compared to the 6100-6117 refurbs. No aircharge, which is usually the most reliable for phone users.

Presumably you're referring to the white 240v sockets with the USB ports?
If that's the case then I don't believe I've ever had one of those work. The USB ports are usually smashed, filled with chewing gum or just don't work.

The silver 240v sockets they installed on later vehicles, whilst more reliable and resistant to damage, still don't always work, but unless things have changed, that's down to drivers not switching them on.

In fact, a good amount of my journeys on the X21 require me to 'borrow' the USB port from the back of my seat when I'm at the table because the sockets aren't on.

Yes those are they, most usb are damaged beyond use, the odd one that the usb fits into doesn't work...

Looks like the 03 Scania Omnidekka's are going soon:

An excellent day seeing some of the network with friends, including a ride on one of our soon to depart 03 plate Scania DD’s. Homeward bound now on the Angel 21 with a good number of people enjoying our £1 fare. It’s still continuing to grow week on week ? ?? https://t.co/YSQkZW9Oc8

I don't think they will be, due to the fact that social distancing is no more, plus they could of lost out on school contracts, not sure on the ex Lothian buses though, they could go to.

No information has been released for the school contracts yet.

I'm sure NCT had some before 2002.

YP52CTO was the 15th UK Omnicity although was the 9th to enter service. It was however the first of a number of Scania Omnicitys for Metrobus.

NCT had the first one which was FH51LTX which entered service in Feb 2002 - https://www.flickr.com/photos/gjm-photog...9765868342

Ah whey, not far off. February 2002 is close enough to 2001.
Looks like someone has done MG up a kipper there!

Are there plans for the Tyne Valley Ten to either be refurbished / repainted?

What is the situation with 6084-86 and could these feature as part of the above? (allowing 6043-48 to go on the 25)
RE: Fleet Changes
6136, 6138 and one other roadstipe example have been withdrawn at Percy Main with fleetnames removed. Metro Radio branded 6133 is also parked amongst them but couldn't tell if the fleetnames had been removed as the front half was obscured. Not sure if anymore were parked behind these 4.

Probably 6137 as they are the 03 examples at PM that have been talked about being withdrawn. Wouldnt be suprised if 6122-6129 are in similar circumstances
