Don't think it makes much sense in putting the Euro 6 Scania OmniCity onto a route which doesn't go into Newcastle..?

Ah right, it was implying it had be brought by Midland Classic according to their facebook page.

More than likely going onto anything until the new electrics turn up so they can then be withdrawn. No point sending the Streetlite's to Riverside to then send them to Washington in a few months time. Allocations are allover the shop atm at Riverside.

Streetlite's are meant to be on the 6/12/12A as they advertised NSA and charging unless that's gone out the window already.

More than the likely 8326 - 8328 will go for the 25 with 8307 - 8309 acting as spares. A few boards are Streetdeck now I believe anyway, there's more than enough buses there for the 25/28/28A plus 34.

6377 moved to Chester-le-Street and is on the X21

5378/5379 look to have moved to Hexham as them both being on the X84/5

Their is bid in place for Electric Buses which if successful would be delivered some point next year.

Noticed that 5268 and 9052 are parked up in Chester depot

I haven't got the specific date in my head but the ZEBRA buses won't be delivered before the LEZ, I believe it was 2023 but could be earlier or so off the top of my head though, they definitely need something Euro 6 before then.

Not really, GNE running 74 connects with other stuff ran by GNE in Hexham at least whereas Stagecoach would stick out like a sore thumb. Companies can't just swap routes around between either really and doubt Stagecoach would give up a more frequent commercial service to a rival company just to get an infrequent tendered route where the smallest thing they have to allocate is E200s.

Anything surrounding brands for the Tynedale Links services will be held off until its know if GNE retain the contracts next year.
