It was 2017 with Northumberland Council turning blue to stick the finger out to Northumberland Council Labour that pushed it more than the 2019 election.
I live on it for the record. It's been in plan in one way or another like someone else said for years.
That said I'd rather we focused on one realistic line (Leamside) and making improvement to our current likes (ECML and Durham Coast) before fannying around with fantasy stuff like a line through Cobalt duplicating the ever so popular 19 and links from Washington to Sunderland along cycle paths and through gardens.
The Durham Coast line is shockingly bad.
