Quite surprised, can't remember the last time Stagecoach had a metro replacement.

When I saw it, I thought it was a mistake I can't remember Stagecoach doing any replacement service of any sort.

May 2019 I think

Due to no single operator being able to cover the Metro Replacement 901 on this weekend, Nexus has requested assistance from all operators regionwide to run the 901. Should see lots of variety from operators not usually seen on Metro Replacement.

So I'd imagine GNE/Stanley/JH's will all be out aswell. Wonder if Arriva will be carrying any.

On the Thursday, I wonder whether would increase the 9 to deckers, or put it to every 15 mins, and name it the X9, and extend it to Pelaw every 30 mins. Hopefully they could get some spare buses & drivers.

In August 2018 they operated the 900 using some 19 vehicles operating Benton-St James.  Later on the same weekend saw five Metro replacement services operated (numbers 900-904), rather than just the usual 900/901, though these were operated by GNE and ANE.

They also done one from Newcastle City Centre to Brockley Whins in May 2019 - https://flickr.com/photos/adammalarkey/4...748898235/

Stagecoach and Arriva by all accounts for the 901 tomorrow, bare bones suggest with 19 minute turn arounds the whole service could be done with nine vehicles.
