Interesting to see Ashington's E400s being sent to Merseyside whilst Merseyside's are at Thorntons...in Ashington!

Not 100% sure if I had to be honest, seems a bit strange for it to go via Jesmond if that was the case but could well be.

Assume the Blyth redevelopment / Walkergate depots will need to be done first so can't see it anytime soon really.

Can't see all them going for the 43-45 like. It's pretty much consistently had Pulsars on lately. I'm guessing the 6x Pulsars from Liverpool were partially for it aswell.
On paper at least 7522/7524 - 7528 would be enough for it with the 6 Ex Liverpools making up the PVR.
Something like:
43/44/45 - 7522, 7524 - 7528, 1537 - 1542
52/53/54 - Streetlites
306 - 1480, 1495, 1496, 1500, 7557, 7558, 7560, 7562
685 - 1479, 1512 - 1513
Spares - 1543, 7501 - 7504, Maybe some Ashington Pulsars aswell.
The rest I think will be something like
7529 - 7533 - X46 (Durham)
7505 - 7509, 7517 - Spares (Durham)
7510 - 7512, 7553 - 7556 - Spares / 35 (Ashington)
7514 - 7616 - X93/X94 (Redcar)
All B7TL's withdrawn.

Entered service tracking as 7524 on the X21/X22
Believe 7524 has now gone in its place. Assume they've just taken the ticket machine from 7524 and not reprogrammed it before sending it into service this morning.
RE: Arriva E400s into new livery
It will be interesting to see where these end up. Logical decision for 7522 (already there), 7524-25, 7529-33 and 7553-56 would be 43/44/45 with 7526-28 as Ashington's spares. But as others have said, could be a mix of singles and doubles on the 43/44/45.
If the 306 does move to Blyth depot though, would there be a likelihood of an actual order for both the 306 & 308 given they'd likely interwork? Rather than historically where the 306 has used older vehicles or single deckers.

Don't see how the logical decision would be to move 7524/5 away from the depot that is currently spending money on refurbing them...

Perhaps they're getting ahead of the game getting things repainted ready for cascades.

I'd imagine it would be coming out of the depots engineering budget. Regardless though, Ashington seem to be struggling with a huge vehicle shortage, I don't imagine they'd be happily sending vehicles away for 8 weeks at a time if the plan was for them to almost immediately be shipped to another depot.
RE: Arriva E400s into new livery
It takes 8 weeks to repaint a bus, rip the stickers out of the inside and replace the headrests? Have I missed something?
Also a shame to see that these have gone to St Helens, the scouse counterpart to the infamous Jesmond paint booth where every bus comes out with a different livery application.

Shame that they haven't fitted seatback USBs and got rid of wall sockets. Could've been an idea to do the whole fleet, fit NSAs to everything and then it would all be pretty much the same bar the interior colours.

Baffles me that they didn't fit seatback USBs given that they're advertising USB power and the wall sockets are notoriously unreliable.
I would have preferred that they started with the Pulsars at Ashington, they're all absolutely horrific externally (1461-3 in particular).

The seat I was on was totally shot. Had to move because I couldn't get comfortable.
