Does the site have any control over them? i read this site mostly on my breaks at work and im getting adverts with " scantily clad" ladies at the top of the page causing me to get funny looks for my colleges!

I think they're a mix. I get some things I've browsed for and a fair bit of underwear that is definitely not my style.

Most of mine are ads for adblock

I had some sort of lacy underwear before. Now there's some ethical hacking even from 2021 being advertised.

What gets the most funny looks? The scantily clad ladies or the bus forum?

The ads are served by Google, and are based on your history.
So, if you're getting scantily clad ladies, it's because it thinks you want to see them.

Are you sure, I've just got one for Motorola, and I've never search them for years!

Believe me, I've not been looking for BusLoverMums underwear nor ethical hacking events from last year.

Never realised there were ads on here. It's what AdBlockers are for.

The female underwear ads at least tend to have some degree of elegance to them normally from the limited sightings I've seen, the male underwear ads I often get targeted with are the exact opposite, very in your face and lead very little to the imagination which is far from ideal viewing on busy public transport.

I did make a rather awkward mistake in choice of viewing on a train journey recently, busy XC service with woman sat next me and I selected to watch a playthrough of the game Super Seducer 3 on YouTube without thinking, I realised my mistake when the Seducer (Richard) appears in front of some scantily clad ladies which had been blurred but I'd argue it looked worse in this instance as it looks more pornographic than it actually was (worse still seeing this when you don't have the context as to what's going on that I had), she totally noticed it as well...

As others have said, the ads are served by Google AdChoices, so we have limited control over what appears. Sometimes if you don't select Ad personalisation, you'll get random stuff (like underwear!) 

You should be able to go to https://adssettings.google.com/whythisad and change your preferences.

Came back to the site and got some lacy underwear. 

Definitely no ad personalisation at this end.

The majority of the ads I'm seeing are for car dealerships... Which is ironic for a bus forum.

You're more likely to see an advert for Pulse and Cocktails or Sven's Adult Books than GNE on a bus enthusiast's forum.

Anyone getting a bus from Malborough Crescent back in the day will be aware of Sven's Adult Books. It was öocazed near the Discovery Museum on the corner of Blenheim Steeet/Westmorland Road.

Between me and u i knew about it -  was just playing it cool!  Its now next to the Yard in the pink triangle isnt it?

Marbough cresemnt was my favourite bus statuion when i was a kid. If i got there beofre the road sweeps used to find two r 3 quid every staturday the drunks dropped.!
