They're ridiculous. I recall Reays starting the 77R half way through the summer season last year!

I'm sure we go through this every year Tom with the B10's and when they will be leaving? Wink haha. Have to treat every year as their last unfortunately. - until more MAN cascades occur most probably!

21003, 21004 and 21005 are technically operational reserve at Morecambe. Haven't moved in months though, probably had a few bits donated to other B10s. Morecambe loved their B10B's in service, still love them. Fitters hated them though, difficult to access engine compared to B10M.

Yep, we do haha Big Grin - But I really do think this will be there last year!
I'd love to ride 21007 at Kendal though!

One piece of information which about this years Stagecoach Order which has entered the public domain is the confirmation of short-term step-ins 27766/67 on the 685, which will be replaced by buses with "coach style seating, seatbelts and wifi" in the coming year."

In the same article in the Hexham Courant today, Arriva are looking to replace the Omnicity vehicles which have leather seats with fabric seating - and that they are looking at the options in terms of handrails and whether seatbelts can be fitted.

Slightly delayed as I've only just gone through my e-mails properly to find this, but this period's movements are shown on the attachment below. With thanks to Richard Smiles for producing his fleet list showing these movements.

Not mentioned on there, is the surprise arrival of Tridents 17037 (S837 BWC) and 17060 (T660 KPU) from Stagecoach East Scotland at Kendal.

What will those replace? Olympians?

Two 04 plate Darts going the other way apparently, direct swap.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of Volvo B10M Alexander PS 20711 (one of the School ones with 3+2 seating) on the 60 for Carleton Clinic. It was unfortunately replaced by MAN 18.220 22160 at West Tower Street, but it was fun while it lasted!

Thanks for that Tom, I plan to try the new extended 508 service for my next day trip to Cumbria.

The scenery should be beautiful, I do think it's a fantastic link from Carlisle to Windermere though. Smile

I think I will to hehe! Smile
Will be staying for four nights hopefully, love the new express 555 journeys from Kendal to Lancaster.
I'm guessing you'll be using the 508 on one occasion or more?

Was previously impossible to get to Lancaster and back from Newcastle in one day, but is now (although you can only get 25 or so mins there)... Perfect for a final day after a week coming back and forth from Sunderland though.

(25 Mar 2014, 5:37 pm)WrightRenown21107 wrote According to the new timetable there will only be two 508 journeys in each direction can anyone confirm this for me?

Yes, between Kingstown or Belle Vue and Windermere, but also there will be shorter journeys between Windermere and Penrith, six a day in each direction between Windermere and Penrith, but two extend to Belle Vue or Kingstown.

(29 Mar 2014, 9:22 pm)Kuyoyo wrote Trident 18361 (MX55 KRU) has been repainted into 'Lakes Connection' Green Photo @ Lee Wardle

A few more to come over time Wink They do look really good in green.

The green Darts have now received their Lakes Connection branding for use on the 505.

Ex Midlands Darts 33397 (Morecambe), 33460 (Carlisle) and 33911 (Lillyhall) are all in service now. Kendal's 34119 may be too but I can't confirm that one. Sadly they're not in the best condition. 33397 and 33911 are both covering a PVR increase at Morecambe and Lillyhall, 33460 is running the Center Parcs staff shuttle service from Penrith outstation, while 34119 should be the replacement for 34079 at Kendal, 34079 having been withdrawn to disposal after blowing another engine.

47022 has returned to Carlisle from loan at Barrow, helping to provide the 3rd vehicle required on the Buttermere circulars this year. In theory 47022 will work Carlisle routes releasing 47474 for the 3rd Buttermere bus.

(12 Apr 2014, 5:16 pm)Richard Smiles wrote The Stagecoach Bus Handbook 2014, confirms that Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire are to receive 41 x Enviro 200 bodied
E20D's from the Stagecoach UK Bus 2014/2015 New Vehicle orders.

These are to carry Fleet No.s 37086 - 37126 & are ALL allocated to Carlisle.

In addition 1 Optare Solo M880 SL is also on order, will be numbered 47921 & again will be allocated to Carlisle.

There was mention that Cumbria & North Lancashire were to receive a number of E400s for Lillyhall & Morecambe, but this appears NOT to be the case unless, they are transfers from elsewhere or will be on an order to be placed at a later date.

Which services will use the E200's?
