I would think any route would be
Transport Interchange, Church Square, Victoria Road, York Road, Blakelock Road ( for 6th form college ), Oxford Road, Catcote Road, Elwick Road, Egerton Road, West Park, Elwick Road, Elwick Village, A19, Dalton Piecy, Elwick Road then above back to the Interchange.  I would personally go up to Summerhill Visitor Centre as well since they is no service there but I can’t really see how else you can do the route otherwise if it it’s going to serve the 6th form college as well which if it don’t have a service from Elwick or Dalton anytime between 8:00 and 8:45 just makes it pointless.

ive not heard anything but the 32/32A is up for tender anyways for march so if they did get new buses for 32s, it won't be until after they've fully claimed the new contract. and its not likely it will go to another operator, but the possibility is still there.

also, they would need to buy enviro100s as the yutongs will not fit around jesmond vale. dont even think the smaller E10 varients would either

The E9L might be a better option here. Would keep an all Yutong Fleet.

They did almost lose it to Gateshead Central the last time it was up for tender but they couldn’t do it as they got the 35 at the same time they couldn’t guarantee they’d have enough drivers.

Would the E100EV not be too small for them routes? The 32/32A can be very busy around peak times, during the day and weekends they’re very quiet but Monday to Friday mornings and evenings they get quite busy. Unless they just scrap the Jesmond Vale part of the route. The amount of times they have to use Warwick Street because of badly parked vehicles but also the back roads around Montagu Estate only E200’s can get around them.

can't see them scrapping the jesmond vale section either as its a vital service for the elderly residents living in jesmond vale house which is over 50s only anyways. my nana lives there and i know for a fine fact they'll all be up in arms if they had another bus service scrapped like they did with the arriva 6.

if stagecoach did lose the 32s i doubt it'll be GCT cos of the 35s like you said (but then again, the 35s are also up for contract so GCT may decide they dont want to run that anymore). i highly doubt stagecoach will even lose the 32s myself but there is always the "what if" about it all. cos imagine they got new buses just for the 32 and it turns out the likes of GNE end up winning the contract. stagecoach then have new buses with zero use cos the 32s are the only stagecoach route that warrents the smaller buses.

and as for the E100s, they probably could get E200EV's if theres a smaller option to them but the only photos ive seen of 200EV's are the long based version but im also happy to be corrected on that.

The Yutong E10 and Enviro 200's are the same length aren't they (10cm apart)? 10.9m vs 10.8m I'm sure.

I don't know what the roads are like around Jesmond Vale but they cope on the 53/54 and the roads in the Coatsworth/Saltwell area can be bad for parking.

jesmond vale is barely even comparable to saltwell. 53/54s can easily be done by longer buses but whenever a slightly longer bus wanders onto the 32 they always divert away from the area.

the main issue isn't even the parking. all of the route in that area has yellow lines on one side of the road and parking on the other, and the stratford road/ouseburn bridge section is yellow lines all over. the turns themselves are genuinelly tight to get around

Aye that's fair, must admit I haven't really ventured down there much tbh.

Must say the 32/32A is a route from a outsider which badly needs changed, as the route in the West End seems very illogical these days going around the world to serve a hospital which doesn't exist anymore, as I assume it's original purpose was to link the General.

it was both for the general and RVI so the route is still valid. besides, the CAV is offices now i believe.

Very illogical route for the RVI though, surely for most people it's much easier to use the 10/11/30/31/36 especially since the RVI has moved further North over the years - especially considering they're a hell of a lot more frequent.

You have to remember tax payers are paying for this to run and it should be about creating links which don't exist, at all, rather than making it slightly easier.

Yes 19385 is at Sunderland due to issues with the CAZ being fined entering Newcastle city centre. 19437 is at Slatyford. 19386 having the same issues but I believe that’s gone to Walkergate for the 18.

Why are the electrics only been allocated to the E services on a Sunday atm?

Would of thought they'd want them out in service.
Ooo Friend, Bus Friend.
