Probably not tbh.I think the fleet would probably last for this entire year tbh,e200s tho are on their last life, and even some mmcs both e200mmc and e400mmc are starting to show their age with how horrible some of them sound while accelerating tbh,e300s need removing from fleet next year, they’re nice buses but performance wise they’re horrific,so to properly answer your question, only time will tell, there could be or there couldn’t be

Anyone know anything about 27822? Was involved in an RTC on the 10th February 2025 almost 1 year ago hasn’t been seen since. I take it the collision was fatal? Wondering if it’ll ever see service again.

Not having much luck Stockton with these new buses are they, I seen several articles in the last several weeks of vehicles been involved in RTC's or Vandalism.

Been 1 involved in a rather major none fault RTA last weekend and vandalism in certain parts of Teesside is getting beyond a joke - Arriva losing 2/3 buses a day to windows getting smashed - same at Stagecoach.

Even tho any hint of an issue areas are omitted it seems to be rife in large areas now!

Impounded by the Police I assume. It'll be released back to Stagecoach once investigations are done.

Work has officially started at Slatyford depot to install the EV chargers. The back yard is being dug up as that’s where the chargers will go and then once that is done work will commence on demolishing the vehicle shed. Slatyford did house 2 preserved buses but those have moved elsewhere due to the shed being demolished.

My thought is when the shed is demolished the current fleet will produce a lot of noise and the last time Slatyford had the roof off the neighbours complained of the noise so having no building completely the noise will be worse. I do wonder if they’re planning on going fully electric once the shed is down…

Wonder if it's to cover for 73056 which has transferred back to Stockton. When the changes to the 10/11 come in the PVR is dropping by 3 so no doubt will see off the last of the gas buses.

Seems a shame we have lost the gas buses replaced by the current crap on Sunderland routes- all cast offs from around the uk

Hopefully we get more electrics soon.

Seeing the launch for the new buses at Go North East makes me hope the North East Combined Authority have some funding coming for Stagecoach soon. Need to invest get rid of the older 2008/9 2011 buses

To be fair you've already had it. The E1/E2/E6/30/31/36 is the share Stagecoach got. Arriva and GoNorthEast are/have just taking/took ages to get their vehicles on the road.

There must be a bit more funding though as Slatyford will need some new Yutongs if 73191-194 are permanent transfers to Rugby so that’s at least 4 new ones maybe more if Sunderland keep 73184-189

Guess they'll just buy them outright, maybe, like Stockton?

Who knows, it feels like half the time Stagecoach management don't really have a long term plan either and they're just making it up on the day. There's a lot of reallocating of new buses been going on since the takeover.

Obviously can't complain at them buying electric buses outright though, as far as I'm aware, no-one else has so far for a commercial route.
