More what made me laugh than made me happy...

In McDonalds at Dalton Park a woman comes in to complain about her McChicken she just got in the drive thru, she asked for the McChicken plain with cheese, she was literally handed a piece of chicken in a box with a cheese slice on it...The person at the order point got confused with the order, thinking plain with a bit cheese meant just that with no Bun...

I had to leave rather as I would have pissed myself and cried laughing, I wish I had the cheek to whip my phone out and ask if I could take a photo...

I never thought anyone would be thick enough to sell a McChicken Sandwich without a bun...

Made me day, it did Big Grin

The Arnison Centre one was the worst I've been in for mistakes.

Also went into one on Blackpool Seafront and was served by a lass called Ocean.

Great Name, considering where she is based Big Grin

next time I am in McDonalds am gonna ask for the same and see if they fuck it up lmao

That is just cheeky Big Grin

My mam made me laugh a few years ago, we went to InShanghai All You Can Eat Chinese Restaurant in Durham, her and my sisters friend stashed a couple of plastic tupperware dish things in there bags, they ended up filling the bowls up to bring home...

My mother justified it by saying 'I am getting my moneys worth, she paid for all she could eat and there was nothing to state that it had be consumed in the restaurant'

Like me today...Large Big Mac...with Sprite Zero...

But I didn't know it was Zero though lol...

Not quite how this is connected,

Another thing I once saw in McDonalds was there was a load of chavs and they were shouting and throwing food around and this woman just got up and started shouting at them telling them to grow up and they were scum, at this point I decided to get some straws so they couldn't see me pissing myself laughing Big Grin
Whats made you happy today?
One time at the McDonalds at the Arnison Centre, I remember I'd just sat down with my food (was relatively quiet for once!) and I noticed a kid similar to my age group with a Happy Meal (), and some chavs shouted over and asked him if he was planning on playing with the toy. Tongue

All of a sudden, a man who had just collected his food walked past them. However, he stopped to 'get some condiments', when he was actually unscrewing the lid of the Diet Coke.

To make a long story short, he sprayed the lot of them with Diet Coke before walking out with his Chicken Selects!

I think taste is a lot to do with it when it comes down to Coke/Diet/Zero. I'll always drink Pepsi Max over any other cola, but because I think it tastes nicer, rather than what's in it.

I never drink Coca-Cola or Diet Coke or any other filthy sugary crap - Pepsi Max all the way!!

When we were in Kendal, they gave us double the order! I handed them over vouchers and told them what I want, and for some reason they duplicated the order! She must have been an idiot as that has never happened before.

Regarding Coke, I always get Pepsi Max. That new Coca-Cola life thing is vile. I've never tasted any coke like it! It's very watery too.

Just to join in with the craic, always the fruity drinks for me. Tango, Lilt, Sprite, 7up etc.

Can anyone remember the tropical drinks years ago, that were in a can, but dead cheap?
There was Panda pop and the stuff the pop man used to bring round on a lorry - but there was one (brand name escapes me), that was generally sold in the greengrocers or cheap shops.
Tasted vile.

Anyway, for those of you who like KFC - this may tickle your taste buds.

I remember, round Murton when I was a kid, we used to have a few people selling stuff out of a boot or the back of a van...I remember a bloke had a Pirate Video Rental Empire who came round twice a week, he had his normal customers and iirc correctly he had his 'SPECIAL' Customers with who he provided who he provided the kind of Videos you would not find in Blockbuster Video Smile I think the Ice Cream Man used to have an under the counter Porn Video Empire...

I had an Amstrad CPC464 computer as a kid, and the Video man would get hold of game cassettes for me Big Grin

Apparently the Ice-Cream man who visited my street as a kid sold Acid (LSD - not hydrochloric or anything like that) under the counter.

RE: Whats made you happy today?
Being praised by one or two English teachers at school today because of an 'outstanding' poem I wrote out of pure boredom once I'd finished an assessment. Here it is;

Black and red poppy
Scattered like glitter
Two ears floppy
Scrounging for litter
The scars of his service
Lie deep in his soul
Marks tell she is nervous
As she sleeps in her hole
Smiles of appreciation as a coin lands in the pot
Two pounds for lunch should do the job
Tail wags in joy when a crumb, just a dot
Lands on the pavement, in her wide open gob
A fiver is a rare treat, enough for a day
Just like a biscuit, it'll last until May

I was really pleased with the feedback I got Smile - the teacher I had for English in Years 7 and 8 asked me to send it to him for him to put on display. The assessment itself was actually to write about 'Valentine' by Carol Ann Duffy and 'Sonnet 130' by William Shakespeare. A lot of people in the class seem to think I'm some sort of poetry genius - purely because I'm the only one who knows what to do (for a Set 1 class, it's pretty worrying!). Anyway, as we're doing Sonnets (if you don't know what one is, it's basically just one stanza with 14 lines, 10 syllables per each, and at Line 9 the topic either changes from positive to negative or negative to positive!), but I just couldn't bothered so I just did my own thing once I'd finished all of the work that had been set. Pretty pleased with what came out. Smile

If you can work out what the poem is about, although it is pretty obvious, I'll give you a prize! (nothing much, tbh! Wink)

Very impressive. I can't even write two lines of a poem, never mind that! Thankfully we didn't have to write a poem in English, just comparing two poems.

I'm not sure what it is about though - the ''Two ears floppy'' and ''Tail wags in joy...'' suggests it is about your dog though?

Cheers, Tom!

Well, there's two characters in it. It's called 'On The Streets', one is an abandoned old female dog.

Figured both are two subjects that are raised a lot in these situations, and they'd be good to use for the poem. Smile

With a sonnet, the rhyming thingy has to be like ABABCDCD, so for example, the first line rhymes with the third and the second rhymes with the fourth, etc. - so I felt like having two characters would fit in nicely making each line of contrast to the next.

No, no. I wish I had now.

It's actually a serviceman whose come back from Afghanistan and ended up homeless! My grandad was never homeless, although during the Miner Strikes in 1984 him, my grandma and my mam were really struggling. Thankfully my mam was 21 by then, and she was working to support them all. Smile
