Happy New Year!
Most of you may have been able to guess that this post was coming sooner or later, and I've decided to make it now in case I end up going out later tonight...

After making a post, I often sit on the "Who's Online" page to see the amount of people who pounce onto a post to read it straight away. On this occasion, I noticed Michael viewing a thread I made earlier this year, entitled, "We've done it!". This post celebrated the landmark achievement of the forum reaching 500 members, and discussion within this thread set our future goals for the forum. At the time, I suggested that we'd be 'setting the bar too high' by trying to reach 750 members, but I come with good news!

Our members have made a total of 70,098 posts in 669 threads.

We currently have 788 members registered.
Please welcome our newest member, dannygee
The most users online at one time was 176 on 13-10-2013 at 18:14

After multiple clear-outs from that post, with the intention of deleting older members who have not posted or been online in a number of months, we have actually accumulated 750 members and we've managed to exceed our 50,000 post goal too!

It's been another magnificent year for NEB. Our community is growing larger in size by the day, and our forum and other features are forever expanding too. I aspire that they will continue to do so in 2015, and the community will be even better this time next year.

Name and shame time... Our Top 10 Posters (as at 31/12/14, 11:25):
1: Dan - 10,468
2: Andreos1 - 5,841
3: Michael - 5,708
4: aureolin - 4,163
5: Tom - 3,424
6: Malarkey - 3,260
7: MrFozz - 2,723
8: tyresmoke - 2,584
9: Kuyoyo - 1,975
10: Jimmi - 1,904
I must note that MarcTheA4 probably would have been up there, but he requested that his post count was reset a month or two ago!

Happy New Year, everyone! All the best for 2015.

Slightly ashamed to see the amount of posts between Feb and Dec 14, being basically the same number of posts submitted between Feb 13 (when I joined) and Feb 14.

I can't blame eezypeazy's anti QCS rants anymore either!

Ahaha, I wonder where I would have ended up had I left my post count where it was! Wink - for those interested I had it changed back because I just felt like a fresh start, I go by the name MarcTheA4 on a number of things, namely Flickr. Just for the those who don't get the name, it's a reference to the Class A4 locomotives built by the LNER in the 30s. Amongst the most powerful and beautiful steam engines made without a shadow of a doubt, 6 of the 35 built survive in preservation. Smile

Anyway; Jimmi seems to be making the odd appearance in the happy thread, so maybe that upped him one or two marks! Tongue

Happy New Year everyone!

Edit: Out of interest, can we see who has actually given the most likes? I'm really curious now! Smile

I can't do it via the Admin Panel, but I'd put money on Liam being able to tell us what the figures are in the database... If/when he reads this, he knows what to do (hint hint!!)  Rolleyes

Dare say I've done at least 500! Tongue

I don't want to leave anyone out, or appear favouritist, but I may as well mention I tend to like a lot of the posts made by Andreos, Fozz, aureolin, etc...purely because I think they raise some of the most valid arguments and are the amongst the most intelligent people on the forum! Smile

Well that post deserves a like Marcus Wink.

Not sure everyone would agree with your comments about my posts like, but it's appreciated.

The FPF stories make my day! Tongue

Perhaps they will be the ones to raid Queen Street for the final plans. Perhaps they will be the ones to stop citaro5284 being such a dick about what he knows and we don't. (Big Grin). Perhaps they will be the ones to finally get me one more look at 4852 before she gets the scrapman.

(Personally I think citaro is part of a conspiracy, look at the facts - he has info about the orders, he has a good job with GNE, 4852 is near him - it's the July '44 Bomb Plot all over again!!) Tongue

I was only kidding Citaro, I believe 'banter' is the word I'm looking for.

Just don't tease us about your super-knowledge. Wink, it is very useful. We don't want to get the FPF involved here. Tongue

RE: Happy New Year!
My downturn in posting was a result of winding down of the DAFs, no longer using the Waggonway due to moving to Low Fell and the spurious inconvenience of having to actually work at work
RE: Happy New Year!
Oh dear my post count is not high enough, maybe one of my resolutions should be to post more Wink I like to think it's "quality over quantity" from me - some of you may or may not agree haha!

Happy New Year everyone, and all the best for 2015!

Thanks for clearing that up. I just thought you were a fan of the A4 paper size.
