Stagecoach North East: Rare & Odd Workings - September 2014

(01 Sep 2014, 3:37 pm)AIG20 wrote That might be 27739. Because when I seen it this morning at Harton Nook, with an engineer at the wheel, it was heading in the direction of the Marsden Inn/Horsley Hill where it could have most likely replaced an E400 operating the X34.

I think its more suitable to have ADL E300s on the X34 rather than a spare MAN ALX300 as they are more suitable, and will travel faster, on the motorway/dual carriageway sections of the route.

27739 parked at bottom stop on Pilgrim Street just after coming off Tyne Bridge in Newcastle at 17:35 today, suggesting that it was going to work the 17:50 X34 from Newcastle.

That isn't odd. Hybrids regularly use service 12
RE: Stagecoach North East: Rare and odd workings
39711 was on ''E'' services today whilst 27731 was on 3/4/7/8 cycle
RE: Stagecoach North East: Rare and odd workings

Thanks, wasn't sure of its fleet number, it flew past my house

(02 Sep 2014, 6:32 pm)AIG20 wrote I think it's covering for 19196, which was at the rear of Sunderland Depot when I went past at 17:20. I assume that it is either there for a chassis wash or repaint.
Even though it has been repainted recently I believe it is being painted against. I don't know why though.
RE: Stagecoach North East: Rare and odd workings
36 branded 24106 on service 13 - which might suggest this one is next for the paint shop?

Yesterday saw 16834 in use covering mileage including a 61 which is pretty rare territory for an Olympian... 24109 was on svc 12 too

19196 is still out as I saw 19194/97 today and got 22070 which was covering for 19196
RE: Stagecoach North East: Rare and odd workings
22027 on 62. It gets to the stage where having that on a 62/63 stops being a rare/odd working. Two single Dockers in two days. I've been on them both
RE: Stagecoach North East: Rare and odd workings
37143 on X34. 19434 on 40 (I wonder if they'll put a hybrid on the 1 to return the favour)

Also 19157 on 11 counts as odd because I saw another single Decker 62 earlier

(05 Sep 2014, 8:09 pm)AIG20 wrote 37143 was operating on the 3/4/7/8 circuit this morning as I seen it at Harton Nook. I guess it was used to help put one of the X34 workings back on time as the service was suffering delays of up to 15 minutes according to the SNE twitter page.

19194 came into harton nook heading towards Marsden at 15:35 displaying in sorry not in service instead of 15:15 so 37143 was put on then 19194 came and done the 15:45 from harton nook which replaced another bus was running late on

37143 operated the 15:15 X34 from Harton Nook which was supposed to 19194. 22050 was supposed to operate the 15:45 but due to that being late, 19194 was put on to correct the operating time. These times are crew change times which is why buses get moved around if possible when running late. 19197 was supposed to be the 14:45 and 16:15 but was very late for both and subsequently operated the 17:20 from Newcastle approximately 25 minutes late (only bus not to be time corrected)

Was like a sardine as I had a journey on it and was jam packed

I operated 2 trips with the X34 as 19197 was running late so I chose to get the service back on time. It didn't last long though with all the traffic ect
