Can't remember if there was an area for this. But the gne website updated this morning with diversion over night for the Flyover work im guessing. Looks like work/demolition is to start on the 12th January
Buses will be diverted from 22:00 until 06:00 the following morning, from the evening of Monday 12th January until the morning of Saturday 17th January while Gateshead Council carry out bridge works.
The bus stops between Split Crow Road and Five Bridges roundabout will not be serves, please catch your bus from Split Crow Road (51/52/58) or Old Durham Road (south of split Crow Road) (28/56/57).
The bus stops at Sherwood car dealer will not be served on journeys from Gateshead by services 21, 28B & 81. Please catch your bus from Durham Road near Shipcote Cenotaph.

RE: Gateshead Flyover Work
Assume the 21/28B/81 will go up Charles Street, Prince Consort Road and then Shipcote Lane back to normal route (though the turning there is very very tight)
Would be easier for the bus to continue straight up Prince Consort and join at the Cenotaph

I'd presume Gateshead bound they'd be fine to observe all stops as normal but coming the other way they're turning right on Charles Street on departure from Gateshead Interchange then straight up Prince Consort Road and rejoining the route at the Cenotaph.

I thought that but the bus stop for the cenotaph (where they're telling you to catch the bus) is before that turning so the next stop would be Saltwell Park so for it to serve the usual cenotaph stop it have to turn up Shipcote Lane and turn at Ronnie Walker/the Church which is a very tight turn
It could just be badly worded - the alternative is to serve the stop at the Cenotaph on Prince Consort Road itself.
There's a match one of the nights (Tue 13) so I wonder if they'll hold off an extra hour on the closure to allow traffic to freely move
