It is a bus board for a driver shuttle between the Depot and Consett.
I have a collection of old running boards (in paper format) from 2005/6 era. Quite enjoy reading through them now and again.

They have VOITH transmissions
6062 had a bit of a fit with its NSA tonight. Through Allerdene it started announcing Coast Rd, Albion St School and Devonshire Crescent then at Birtley it suddenly corrects itself. The screens remained correct but the audio was out.

why was 4907 transferred to riverside months before 4906

4907 was involved in the fatal collision on the 8 when it was based at Chester-le-Street, so it transferred out of the depot out of respect for the driver and the victim of the accident. It was swapped with 4845, if memory serves.

I can remember that incident then 4845 was replaced by 4843

Yep. That's right Smile

4845 developed a fault so was swapped with 4843. 4845 was later withdrawn as a result.

Are there any news articles on this?

They will be but you'll have to look yourself, the forum mods said not to share the story on the forum due to the consequences of what happened and the forums terms with GNE, such as keeping them on a good side etc because we have GNE workers who view the forum.

I know you are new and didn't know but i thought i'd let you know why.

I hope i don't sound like a dick.
5403 lost its wing mirror somewhere on the 8 route.

There is some reference to the North East too.

Regional revenue growth was 2.6%, driven by higher contract income and increases in fares in line with inflation. The decline in passenger numbers of 0.5% is a result of continuing weakness in the north east economy, as well as significant roadworks in Oxford, and lower oil prices reducing the marginal cost of car travel. Passenger growth, excluding these areas, was 1.0%. Growth was driven by an increase in commercial passengers, offsetting a decline in concessionary travel.

I understand, and was expecting a response like this to my question. Thanks anyway.

Had nothing to do with Go North East - it was by request of a member of the forum, who knew the victim of that incident.

The news articles are still available on Google, if you do a quick search for it. The incident occurred in Barmston.

Hilarious!
5204 was out today on 20A it's just for the person who enquired where it was
Are there any plans in the future to do internal refurbish on any of the older buses in the fleet?

A few of the Citaros and Omnicities at Stanley could do with A new seat or two, although I'm sure how much all this costs and whether its worth it or not long term

I know A few years back alot of buses were refurbed internally.

I do hope so, some of the Citaro's at Deptford need a refresh inside to, if they do,they'll probables get a deep clean to.

Can't remember off top of my head how many years it is before a refurbishment?
