Can't remember off top of my head how many years it is before a refurbishment?

Vehicles in Go North East's fleet usually undergo a refurbishment after 7-8 years - in the middle of its 'life' with the company.

On this basis, I would anticipate that the vehicles new in 2007 will undergo refurbishment in the not so distant future.

Hope so, maybe the likes of the Tynelink, Blaydon Racers, will have WIFI fitted to.

3878 isn't a Omnidekka.

Random

I was on a 21 last Saturday morning towards Durham and noticed the same thing happened.  I presume it was the same vehicle.

Its sort of the same to the angel

That would have been the intention. Linking the 21 and X21 together in a way that is clearer than present (other than the route number).
Whilst I applaud the new livery for the X21 Castles Express, I wonder if the blue base colour will lead to confusion with 'another operator' - or, maybe, there aren't any Arriva services along that route?

Anyway, I do think it looks good.

The Arriva MAX X12 runs along most of the X21 route between Newcastle and Durham, but it seems like more people confuse the MAX branding for one of Go North East's buses, when the MAX buses first returned to service from refurbishment people kept trying to get on the X12 with GNE key cards.

Would there be a weight penalty if two glass roof lights were fitted in the 'Streetdeck'?  Would sure improve the top deck environment.

ooh! nice!

Won't take long for Durham bus station to knock those corners off all the angular bits, mind.

Part of the route is in competition with the Arriva 6. No chance of confusing them, though, since the 6 has a big silver 6 emblazoned on the side.

only in Durham, CLS, and Newcastle it won't confuse me as Arriva Max has a total different colour and route font

must admit i do like this livery but now i want to see this face to face now and photograph them at the same time
Just a thought on the X21.

The launch coincides with the start of major roadworks through Low Fell for the new bus lane. Imagine reliability will be shot to bits on anything going through Low Fell for the next 8 weeks
