3964 and 3965 were done overnight, both had been out the day before in unmodified form. mainly its a quick rub down of paint at the low end of the swoop and paint over in red, and around the saloon windows then apply the new stripes.

How did they get rid of the Wright logo in the front panel?
I’ve noticed other operators have a smooth front panel so it’s easier to apply their own branding but thought all GNE’s B9s have the Wright logo.

That article seems a bit wrong to me, the current 309/310/311 have nothing to do with the service they''re describing there. The 309 is a split off from the 308 which is was ran by them which has always existed but they lost it after the bus war, the 311 is irrelevant and I'm not sure on the history of the current 310 but it doesn't run between Shields and Blyth.
Seems like someone is getting confused with the old 310 Blyth to Sunderland service which is now long gone which I'm guessing would've been the route described here which got ditched awhile back now.

Isn't it referring to the first Northern General service in North Tyneside which was from North Shields to Blyth in 1921? Hence the 100 years branding.

Yeah but the first paragraph is:
This month, June, marks the 100th anniversary of the very first motorbus service between North Shields and Blyth, which was later extended between Wallsend and Whitley Bay, then subsequently on to Newcastle, forming what is today’s Go North East Cobalt and Coast 309, 310 and 311 bus routes.
Just seems a little bit wrong don't see the connection if anything it's more the 1
The old 310 would of fit alot better, that did North Shields-Blyth
What I think they are marking is the commencement of the service between Blyth and North Shields run by Tynemouth and District. I remember it as service 7 which ran from Blyth to North Shields Ferry. When the Tyne Tunnel opened one bus an hour ran through to Sunderland as service 60 with Northern becoming the joint operator. Eventually it became the 309/310. The Cobalt and Coast is now the
closest to
the route they are celebrating 100 years even if it now takes a slightly different route in Blyth. As an enthusiast I am so pleased to see the livery again whichever route it is on.

Aye it is I think. Doesn't the 1 do the route from North Shields to Whitley now pretty much if you exclude the bit around Marden estate pretty much. Seems the better fit imo especially since it goes through Tynemouth but obviously makes sense they can't since it's getting Streetlites soon.
Drove past Saltmeadows today and looked like there was a corporate Versa in for repaint- looking on bustimes id hazard a guess it was 8308 or 8309. Presumably to make up the PVR at Deptford with the ex-Quaylink Versas

My bad, was driving at the time but could have sworn it was a versa
The Optare Versa and Optare Solo SR have similar designed rear ends. An easy mistake to make.

Optare Solo SR 637 has been done in 2019 corp. First of Percy Main but only 696 is the other one. Not sure if that is done

No will just be the roadripe vinyls that will of been applied, like all the others that were in 2016 fleet livery

Yes its just a bit of red to straighten the swoop then stipes. 650 has always had larger numbers, surprised they haven't replaced them!
Baby Solo 717 has also been roadstriped. Photoed it on the CLS locals today.

Can I pls have a link, was waiting to see that roadstriped
Haven't even downloaded my camera from today yet as I went straight to work after my little drive around since my car was fixed. Hopefully get a few more photos after my physio on Thursday providing they don't keep me in if my leg continues to play up (though it has been better today since I've had a long drive).
Anyway they deffo won't be on Flickr in the next few days as I'm about to upload 1000+ photos of Arriva Midlands.
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but does anyone have any GNE bus designs i could potentially have. I'm going to have a go a creating a few new brand designs
Prior? Another one is coming. Wonder what it's repaint is going to be
