North East Buses

Anyone know what’s happening with 6301-6307? From what I’ve seen there hasn’t been more than a half allocation on the 50 in at least a week if not longer now.

One of them was allocated to a 20 board at Deptford today.

6306 is long-term VOR waiting for parts and 6304 was loaned to Deptford today due to a high VOR there.

No plans for 6301-7 to be taken off the 50.

Same happened with 6116/6117 back in 2014 when the 309/310 PVR was increased. Weren't touched other than special liveries until the 2019 refresh.

The state of 6304 is disgusting, the floor was sticky all the way on the top deck it was really awful. And the tables were peeling.

Why does the plug sockets work on 6301-6307 (well a lot of them) but on the streetlites not a single plug socket works

I'm not surprised it's sticky because the amount of shite dropped on the floor is ridiculous

What's happened to 6355? Looks like it had its back panel replaced

Been like that for weeks now.

No idea if it was caused by a smashed window, but that went through my mind when I saw it.

She was more bothered by the Arriva X18 no show.

I agree regarding the pointless table lights. They don't actually have any benefit, but the announcements serve a purpose. Easy enough to stick some headphones on id you don't want to listen to them.

Don't worry he's been up at Inverness moaning about lack of bus timetables, train timetables, signs and why they're not using Platform 1 at Inverness Airport instead and that people are stupid for walking for 15 minutes over waiting 7 minutes for the bus (ignoring it's not free).

Wonder whether 6334-7 will be the next non standard lot to be sold on?  6337 has been off since November, and in my experience was never very reliable particularly in the cold - and very fuel hungry - or was it one with the smaller fuel tanks?  They seem to have been bit parts at best, and money pits too.

Also surprised to see so many of the fleet brought in for metro flow, some even after repaint don’t appear to be in service for months, or are they on faith school contracts which don’t track, or is the massive influx of new vehicles requiring PSV just too much to cope with on top of keep the rest of the fleet on the road?

The forum is going to go in to Meltdown when the Northumberland line opens. Not because of the obvious Arriva bus service cuts it will generate, but because Roger French didn't wear bog standard trainers. That's priorities for ya!

Apart from that it did run. Looks like she arrived in Alnwick by half 7, so assuming she would have caught the 1758 X15, the X18 before that had simply left late.

Are they non standard though? Mechanically they're identical aren't they?

Not sure why people would be moaning about the cuts. I can't wait for them personally.

A few of Consetts VOR buses. 5407 has been sat at the side of the Hownsgill workshops since beginning of Dec. 5461 has been parked here since Nov with missing panel and 5400 has returned from Saltmeadows with newly fitted glass but missing a panel and headlight surrounds.
