They haven't.

They're literally the ones in Dan photo where he says they have "left" the fleet and are now at Connexionsbuses

 1. They're not at Connexions, they're at GNW.
 2. Has there actually been any confirmation of them being sold? Sure the post I saw noted them being on loan.

On Dans post on Facebook it is 5488/91 saying theyve left to go to Connexions Buses, but the same buses are also apparently on loan to GNW

That post definitely doesn't say they've gone to Connexions, merely that they were pictured there on their travels.

It's been suggested earlier in the thread by people who have been involved in vehicle movements similar to these that Connexions is used as a halfway point. That these vehicles have now appeared in pictures at GNW, it should be clear that this is the case.

Are they permanent or temporary transfers?

Loaned.
Loaned to allowed Solo SR 678/679 to return.

Just wish people could be more straightforward rather then act all cryptic because they get a buzz off it.

Seen a London B9, 5401 and another streetlite heading towards Consett this morning in convoy all with engineers at the wheel, assume the 2 streetlites are replacements for the Enviros.

6062 and 6215 replaced 5488 and 5491.

5401 and 5409 from Deptford will replace the next two (themselves being replaced at Deptford by 678 and 679).

Wait some GNE swapped 2019 Enviro 200MMCs for 2 solos. Why not sent 2 versas down there or even streetlites? Especially if they're only for driving training.

Agree, seems odd. Unless they’ll just be on route learning until they get them debranded.
Must be a bigger job than we realise, after all, GNE never managed to complete it.  Wink
8347 looks like it maybe departing, currently in Saltmeadows being stripped of its driver recruitment vinyls.

Also present at the rear of Saltmeadows is Go-Ahead London Optare Olympus bodied ADL Trident (E400) DOE18 (LX58CXH) (Seen here in London a few years ago https://flic.kr/p/2mumm2S). I'm not sure if this is for Go North East, but there was mention of them heading to Go North West, could possibly be parked here pending onward movement to Thornton's.
Deptford has gotten, 4 E400s, 3 OmniDekkas's, 4 Ex London G2's. Plus they already have 3941/42/43/62/63 (which not that reliable), 6001, and 6086-6098 for the 56

Are anymore on the way and is this permanent?

I don’t believe that 8347 is leaving Go North East - perhaps being repainted at long last?

Wouldn't be surprised if it becomes the dedicated spare to the 35 as 8339-46 is the entire PVR and there is no way there wont be atleast one of them all at anytime

Yes apparently there are eleven Olympus bodied ADLs for Go North East

Does this mean there's zero chance that 6969 will be a nice bus?

100% Rolleyes

What are the Olympus bodied ADLs like, never actually been on one?

Are these removing more the Omnidekka's and the deckers from L & G Coaches from the fleet and to be used on school work?

Can't comment on the ADL part of it, but the Olympus bodied B9s that Stagecoach Bluebird operated were beyond horrendous. Reliability was an issue sure, but the bodywork seemed very poorly put together.

The interiors of those were also pretty grim, everything from the lighting to the seats made for a pretty unpleasant passenger experience.

They're East Lanc buses as far as I'm aware rather than Optare which probably says enough considering Arriva's 57 Plates were withdrawn well before they were expected to and similar the Scania N113's beforehand which were as bad.

They're not exactly well known for good bodywork before they went bust.

If these do turn up GNE aren't half getting some crap lately, other operators who's name I've already mentioned in this post would be rightly getting criticised if they were sending rubbish like this up.

They look like they would have already been end of life 20 years ago

If such vehicles do join the GNE fleet presumably they will replace the 03, 04 & 54  registration Scania OmniDekka.

They're ugly mind, they remind me of the Scania's at Blyth but worse, much worse which were very modern looking at the time compared to the likes of Olympians etc.

Not sure probably, they need to go aswell - the later examples have to be on the chopping block soon aswell tbh. There's quite a few London buses come up now and nothing has really left in return.

They were built after Optare took over East Lancs so known as Optare Olympus. Here's a pair still displaying their Optare badging https://flic.kr/p/2mukkXp

I seen one arriving at Deptford the other week on the back of an Alpha wrecker so clearly a fantastic machine.
