If it's one of the buses that will be replaced soon by a Euro6, doesn't that make it eligible to go into Newcastle?
Currently Parked up in a very sorry state at Darlington Depot is ex Northumbria (Blyth) E400 7507
Anyone know why an X46 to Durham got stopped by police earlier today? With the state of some of the buses I assume it's probably the police don't think it's roadworthy? ?

We met that coming the other way. I suspected that someone the police were after might have been seen boarding the bus but it doesn’t explain why the police car was parked diagonally in front of it at the lights. Nothing went out of service that I can see.
They boarded a couple of angels in CLS and pulled someone off for a talking to, yesterday.
1368 parked up in Fram with the destination "vehicle breakdown". Thankfully just past the bus gate rather than in it.
What has been tracking as 1409 at Ashington the last few days? I don't think it is 1409, as that has still been tracking in Durham as well.

I believe 1404. It was at Blyth for a few days and now 1409 starts tracking
4509 being towed today. Guessing its broken down in whitby depot. Today had 3 pulsar on the x4 today
Seems to be more issues with the deckers in whitby 7599 hasn't been out in over a week.
And some of mmcs are not out as much.

4509 towed to Volvo with issues for them to fix. 7599 been off for MOT, landed back at Whitby in the afternoon I understand.

7578 as become an issues to since it's been at Ashington it's been struggling with the x93s used to be the best one before sent on winter loan to
Is their problem with 7635 or just back luck for me. 3 times in recent weeks it has had massive delays on the 57A now.

Unsure on its speed. But its currently at Ashington relegated to non Newcastle work. Would explain why 7551 is at Blyth
Withdrawn ex Northumbria deckers 7504 and 7507, have both now been removed from Darlington. Also, Enviro 200 2704, off service since 26.3.26, was towed away yesterday, presumably for repair.

2704 is currently awaiting a new engine so guessing it’s off to the engine shop in Durham

Be a bit hard for that, the engine shop has been closed.

By October 2026 yes, however there are still exemptions in place for vehicles that may not be fully compliant by that date, but are planned in to be fitted with kit, providing the business can evidence it.
As this applies to pretty much every bus in the country, current supply and fit demand is very high, so there will be vehicles beyond this date that may not be fitted, but will still be allowed to operate.

Just get one of the regular passengers to stand at the front and do the announcements live!

Interesting following the Blyth electric demonstrator today that it had 43 Cramlington on the front but 44 on the back. That could leave somebody who's had to run for the bus really annoyed.
A few of Ashington singles have appeared at Blyth with only 1389 going to Ashington
Any idea if these are loans or transfers

Paint one yellow and give Alan Robson a few quid! Pick up those phones!

Only 2 of the electrics were in service today so I'm assuming they're loans to help cover gaps until they can get them moving.

Looking at BusTimes seems like it might be emissions issues.
Seems like 1389, 7621, 7630, 7631 and 7633 all appear to be stuck on Ashington locals again.

See thats what I thought but 7621/7630/7633 have been at Ashington for quite a while now due to CAZ but it doesn't make sense why only yesterday did all the transfers take place. In place at Blyth from Ashington are 1513,1540,1541,1542,1575,1578 and they seem to have came down yesterday/day before yet only 1389 has went to Ashington.
Then again u cant do much with 1389 since its only route non CAZ is 533 and that 1499 wont get taken off the 553 unless absolutely necessary. 1499 became non caz a few weeks ago stuck at Ashington for 2 weeks while 1389 was stuck on the 553
Also a note today. Nsa is starting to appear on the StreetLites. 1578 was working perfect on the X8. Also 7636 I had today as well has got a part ready for nsa

Yeah who knows, maybe a mix of both?
Seemed to be a few cancellations creeping around yesterday again, especially on the 43/44/45 so would make sense to send something across since Ashington has a ridiculous number of spares and no doubt 7701 - 7719/20 (not sure if Blyth is getting their 6th?) must be due to in service asap. The golf finished a week ago now.

The swaps are emissions to my knowledge. Ashington don't have a ridiculous number of spares though, unsure why you think they do?
7701-19 due to start entering service later this coming week - Ashington drivers all need familiarisation. Obviously lots were also photographed without vinyls, so they will all need applied before entering service here.
