Also evora 4506 has something happened to this bus as it hasn't tracked since 28th August.

Did see that video and had a cheeky flick through, seen one of the Gemini's seems to be heading to Alnwick at Rothbury Motor's though in it.

Around 1:50 in he states some have been purchased privately (I did see that rothbury motors) and some were going to Middlesbrough for service

According to the lad that’s made this video, because of the franchising (Metro) in Merseyside Arriva have lost St Helens and Speke depots meaning some of the older Gemini 2’s that are parked up in this video have been sold privately and some are going to Middlesbrough (Stockton) for service. Unsure how true it is but yet again more second hand buses.

Speke is very much not lost, Birkenhead garage however will be lost next month or so

That will be interesting. I know they have a fair few vehicles which ain't really the right age to be worth scrapping. Also, I believe they have a lot of Ex Redcar Streetlites down their so I wonder what the possibility is that we see them return to Teesside to displace Pulsars. Then again, they probably need to sort out their vehicles out down south and also Streetlites are purely best at town workings. I wonder what the ownerships plan is with the company going forward as they're loosing a lot to franchising.
It's shame Blyth couldn't have got some of those Gemini 2s to see off more of their Pulsars.
1393 moved down to Teesside from Ashington,  anyone know if loan or permanent? 1500 moved from Blyth to Ashington and 1540 is currently at Blyth from Ashington. Any ideas what’s going on with all the transfers?
(28 Jul 2026, 4:24 pm)Shrek wrote [ -> ]It doesn't always work that way. All new buses will be bought and allocated on the business case behind it. You quite often see some depots stuck with older cascades while the new stuff goes to the depots that make the best case for the investment. Blyth seem to be doing a good job at getting that investment at the moment.

1393 is in Darlington covering for 2710 whilst its in Yorkshire. This is for a mmc 200 being at stockton for driver familiarisation.

1393 is at Darlington in a swap for one of the other MMCs (2704 I believe) for the same reason as the 1479/2711 swap last week - to give Ashington an extra mini for the 415/460 today (although this week, 3052 is on there and the loaned MMC is on the 434.

2710 was being covered by 1385 - 2710 is returning to the region tomorrow with 3002 returning to Yorkshire unused here as 3501/2 have arrived and can be used instead.

3002 is currently parked in the yard at Darlington depot, collected by a Darlington driver from Stockton this morning, and will be taken to Castleford tomorrow morning
See that there’s at least one E400MMC running around today with “on hire to Go North East” in the window. Nice to see the driver who took that out this morning did a thorough walk round inspection.

tbh I wish they'd get them to displace a chunk of the E400's.

I know they're older but the likes of 7522, 7527, 7530, 7533, 7553 and 7554 are a complete waste of space right now. Might aswell cash in on them when they have value, and have some buses here which can actually work.

No doubt a chunk of 7401-6 will join the list soon aswell - already noticed 7403 is dead. Complete waste of money refurbishing those sheds imo when Liverpool are releasing hundreds of similar aged vehicles within the next 12 months which will all do a better job.

X21 has been missing at least one bus all day today, and 7526 also looks to have come off.

All 7 buses out on the 35 though.

Not surprised, all this investment has done nothing at all to sort out the issues at Ashington. After going round the circles, basically the end result is 6x B9TL's which are not reliable seemingly replacing 6x Pulsar's which are reliable and absolutely nothing else.

Arguably the depot is in a worse position.

Mind it seems like they've dragged 7403 out now to sort that board but 7554 has decided it's had enough (again) on the 57 instead and now the X22 is missing a board ironically which is the 6pm out of Newcastle  Shy
1538 is now tracking in Durham
Putting it in here but it needs to be sorted out between all party's involved

Tonight till the 19th. There is a road closure in Seghill to allow a road to be relayed between 8pm & 6am.

Arriva 57A & X7 & GCT 19 are diverted

A shuttle bus is advertised in one place. The Arriva website. No mention anywhere else. No timetable anywhere

So let's talk about all 3 companies involved

Arriva, Little no mention on website. Absolutely shi£e planning that it only mentions that a shuttle bus is running yet no timetable linke

Northumberland County Council, No posters on the bus stop and the website (from what I can find) isn't mentioned anywhere

Travel North East, The website bringing all news to you (is it *****). The website does not mention anywhere at all the diversion even though 3 buses are diverted and a shuttle bus is running

This is pretty poor from all 3 party's involved in a closure. Been sent a photo of a Grey Mercedes Sprinter ran by liberty which is non psvar due to step entrance & has a little paper saying "Seaton Delaval, Seghill" this is pathetic that its nowhere. The shuttle also doesn't go to Annitsford so anyone wanting Seghill of the X7 or 57A is pretty much screwed unless they go to Seaton Delaval to catch the shuttle that may I remind you has no timetable
