To be honest, Ashington doesn't seem too bad recently - or nothing worse than usual anyway.
The Solo's are a nightmare though and have been even since they arrived from Darlington pretty much. I assume they don't have long left though since 1404 came up instead of 2857 (which would've made more sense). Definitely don't want them down there though, they're due for one place and it's the scrapheap. The fact they had a full saloon allocation yesterday probably sums up what Ashington think of them.

I’m surprised 1472 hasn’t broke down on the X4 the other day someone said they could smell burning coming from the breaks after Saltburn apparently.

Actually Redcar sorted the issue so its all good
PH - BQA
Rumours circulating that some/all of the E400 MMCs down at Redcar are returning to Ashington for the winter, with 7609/10 acting as spares to 7401-6 on the X93.
7578 is staying at whitby Redcar

Did I say anything about who sorted it out no I didin't.
Well 7401 as had a successful day on the 62 which is absolutely brilliant for 7401
Whats the history with 7401
It's been off the road with engine issues for around 18 months, any previous attempts to get it running has only lasted a matter of hours.
Darlingtons E300 1357 finally hit the roads today after repairs
1427 is back but got only a few runs in on the 62 and was pulled out at Middlesbrough Bus Station with Not in Service I caught a glimpse of it driving out of the station whilst I was waiting to get on the X4.
Also, what are Arrivas plans with the 2 DB300's 7609/10 next year? I would imagine they would be X94 deckers now in the summer and 2 B9's will be on the Whitby Park and Ride due to the age limit. Unless, they got something ordered for it.

I herd 7609 10 will either be on the x93 or x94
And 1427 is on the x4 today

That post was from a while ago mate.
So with the 10 New Evoras coming to Redcar next year and Pulsars coming to Redcar to see off the Temsa's along with 10 Lites going from Stockton to the North West, I would imagine the North West are sending 24 Pulsars in total (10 to Stockton and 14 to Redcar). I would imagine it would go in number order so would it be ANW's 2938 - 3047 or from 3106 - 3206.
Do we have any actual confirmed ANW fleet numbers being transferred to Stockton and Redcar?

Most of the buses are off the road because Stockton are short on drivers & also 1487 is off the road because it had an accident with a van in Stockton

Had a feeling they might have sent 7510/11/12 or whatever ones are staying up here and aren't going to Yorkshire. Don't believe they're actively doing anything right now.
Obviously no use for the expresses but they could potter around on the 1/2/57/57A.

The rumours going around by North East drivers on the North West Facebook group is that Stockton are getting 1404 back from Ashington and 1418 to 1429 from Redcar.
With Ashington apparently getting 5 NW Pulsars, Darlington 2 and the rest of the batch sent to Redcar.

How would that work 1418-1429 from Redcar to Stockton when 1419/1422 & 1428 are already at Stockton

Incorrect 1429 1418 aren't going anywhere

1404 going back from Ashington would make sense if 1418-29 are going to Stockton. That’s 9 from Redcar (18/20/21/23-27/29) and 1404 makes 10 displacing 10 Streetlites to NW in return for 10 Evora’s.
23 NW Pulsars allegedly heading for Redcar, how many are expected at Ashington?

Would assume any received at Ashington would be to cover the PVR of the 57/A and finally convert it to full size operation?
Stockton must be due some investment soon surely? They've got some strong routes but the fleet down there is closer to being a heritage fleet lately.
These changes are making it even older. There's nothing announced for the place though either, ie electrics or what not, as far as I'm aware?
Same with Blyth even known the 43/44/45 electrics are due, the 59 Plate Gemini's and Pulsar's really need to leave but again there's nothing to replace them either.

I might have missed it, but what vehicle type is coming for the 43 group of services and when are they due?

Don't believe it's been announced yet so don't know. Curious myself tbh.
So what is actually confirmed being transferred from the North West to the North East and whats confirmed transferred from the North East to the North West.
Also, this transfer of Pulsars to replace similar aged Temsas ain't gonna last that long is it. I would imagine there is a bigger picture with this move. I would personally say, keep the Temsas going until there is no spare parts from others to keep them going. May aswell get more value for money out of them. Then have these North West Pulsars spare.

I can imagine the incoming Pulsars will be of far better quality than then Temsas, who have had historically long (and expensive) lead time on parts, and ultimately high total cost of ownership that sealed their fate. Along with the Gemini siblings, they are a proven product with a larger spares pool, but are underbelly only good for a few more years.
Bodywork wise, Blyth's SB300s are wearing out, with the exterior bodywork corroding around the window frames, interior panels starting to distort with water ingress, at least one example having a spot light in the door area covered over with a weekly pass holder as it is stuck permanently on...
Any new investments fir Whitbys town services 95/6. All this talk of ex Merseyside Pulsars and envoras are all full sized buses. But something smaller is needed for Whitby
Arriva are getting rid of buses that are non standard it seems, they got rid of the gas buses, now they're getting rid of the Temsa's, Tempos and Scanias. I think its because spares for these buses are getting rarer these days and not the most reliable of buses either.

The temsas are starting to struggle now so with the pulsar coming it's a good idea to replace
With all these North West Pulsars coming to Teesside, do we have any news whats happening to the only Centro left in the fleet?
Also is there any Pulsar 1's coming or is it purely Pulsar 2's.
