East Gateshead Orbit
East Gateshead Orbit
Is the East Gateshead Orbit rebrand still happening. All I know is that the Q1/2 branded buses are being repainted into "Sunderlandand District Berries" livery, and that the Black Cats streetlites are being repainted for the new coaster livery, so what buses are going onto Q1/2? Maybe Durham Diamond streetlites as the Coaster volvos are going onto the 16? Or is QuayLink going corporate?

(18 Jul 2021, 5:48 pm)54APhotography The Euro 6 Streetlites are 5442 to 5480, that should be enough for the 1, Q1/2, 33.
Question is what happens to the 6, 12, 25 & 28/A...

(18 Jul 2021, 6:24 pm)Adrian I'd hope it's being seriously considered to curtail them at Gateshead/Metrocentre.
There's more than enough buses between A and B from both bus stations, so there's no reason why it couldn't work. It'd be a obscene to see the four services you've mentioned receive excessive investment, over more deserving services in other parts of the network, just because Newcastle have opted for their car-favouring emissions scheme.

Since I like this kind of stuff, I decided to make a timetable concept for this new brand. This is the actual color scheme, if you go on the pdf timetable for Q1/2 it shows this color scheme. I know that it probably wont be 51/52, but I decided to make it a bit nostalgic.

And yes, I made this on Powerpoint. Easy for me, and free!
