Is the East Gateshead Orbit rebrand still happening. All I know is that the Q1/2 branded buses are being repainted into "Sunderlandand District Berries" livery, and that the Black Cats streetlites are being repainted for the new coaster livery, so what buses are going onto Q1/2? Maybe Durham Diamond streetlites as the Coaster volvos are going onto the 16? Or is QuayLink going corporate?

The Euro 6 Streetlites are 5442 to 5480, that should be enough for the 1, Q1/2, 33.

Question is what happens to the 6, 12, 25 & 28/A...

Some of Chester's Versa's, we're upgraded to euro 6 for the 28/28A.

6/12/12A will need 9 buses

The 25 will need 7 buses

According to the GNE fleet list there was some Versa's upgraded at Riverside too, 6 of them (8307 - 8309/8326 - 8328)

Edit:

When are the Omnicities due to come off the 5/50?, as they had a Euro 6 upgrade.

Ooo Friend, Bus Friend.

I'd hope it's being seriously considered to curtail them at Gateshead/Metrocentre.

There's more than enough buses between A and B from both bus stations, so there's no reason why it couldn't work. It'd be a obscene to see the four services you've mentioned receive excessive investment, over more deserving services in other parts of the network, just because Newcastle have opted for their car-favouring emissions scheme.

Now this is a good idea. I use the 25 almost every day, on weekdays as it gets me to school, and on weekends to get me into Gateshead/Newcastle for spotting. From Gateshead there is a collosal number of buses that go to Newcastle, and it wouldnt hurt to terminate one of them at Gateshead.

The main issue with that would be ticketing, what if someone wanted to use the 6 from Newcastle, would they now be expected to pay for an extra ticket to Metrocentre

Be hard to curtail them at the Metro Centre as the 12 doesn't serve it and uses Scotswood Road and the 6 interworks with it. The 12 deserves better buses though imo.

Wasn't the 25 confirmed to be getting deckers later in the year? Be interesting to see if it involves the 26 somehow since the Crusader doesn't have enough buses painted up and it really is a waste them being on there when it doesn't need deckers nevermind Euro 6 buses and the 28/28A already has Euro 6 Versas.

Since I like this kind of stuff, I decided to make a timetable concept for this new brand. This is the actual color scheme, if you go on the pdf timetable for Q1/2 it shows this color scheme. I know that it probably wont be 51/52, but I decided to make it a bit nostalgic.

And yes, I made this on Powerpoint. Easy for me, and free!
