(20 Jan 2022, 12:33 am)Train8261 When all the TV10 are done. Does 6100 go back to Percy Main (6101 isn't a spare bus for Percy Main and never was)

6101 is a spare bus - the PVR of the 309/310/311 is 16 and they have 16 branded Volvo B9 plus 6101.

But yes, they will need a second spare Volvo B9 to ensure they have enough Euro 6 spares (5479, 5480, 6100 and 6101).

(19 Jan 2022, 11:40 pm)Rapidsnap Going back to the "Pride" Liveries, the yellow based version by GNE on the Versa and Citaro were awful in my opinon compared to efforts made elsewhere by other operators (though you never see a Stagecoach Pride bus). Where as 6050 was more up to the standard of Pride Livery found elsewhere in the country even though it was a throwback to judge a bus by the colour scheme from the 80s.

What was worse was that the Versa and Citaro paint faded badly, especially the vynals and the yellow paint. To be honest the livery carried by the Connector Shuttle Citaros looked a better pride livery even though it wasn't intended as a pride livery. Plus the fact that the pride rainbow has been diluted by it's use to celebrate the Key Workers during the lockdowns etc.

Not that surprising given the widely reported views/values of Souter

Google would easily solve this.
There's plenty of Stagecoach (and Megabus) in pride schemes

I'd take actual policies like this one (https://www.stagecoachbus.com/news/merse...e-networks) - which I'm sure GNE equally have, over a debate on whether something looks good on a bus or who does what, ultimate in virtue signalling from enthusiasts again.

Wistfully stuck in the 90s

Let's be real, these pride and poppy buses are nothing but marketing. The people behind them might have good intentions, but they wouldn't be green lit by higher ups if they weren't going to make them money.

I imagine the cost of a repaint is cheaper than an ad in the papers, which they usually end up in anyway when they bring out a new design (and the cost of said repaint is conveniently missing in the article!)

IIRC, 6301-6307 will all be in the GNE generic livery so as to be Newcastle E6 spares.

If that info for 6334 is from bus times then I'd take it with a pinch of salt, was still sat in the same place at the depot on Wednesday night.

According to one of the engineers there it's issues relating to a DVLA cock up with chassis numbers, meaning it couldn't go for a MOT in November

(Stupid statement coming here)

Wouldnt it be easier to loan a decker instead of a StreetLite
