(17 Apr 2016, 2:38 pm)Jimmi wrote Kind of, but I think it's still worth going to just for the day out more than anything, if I don't go I'd just be sat in the house bored.
(17 Apr 2016, 2:41 pm)Tom wrote Yeah I can't stand staying in the house all day so if I'm not doing anything else will probs go for a bit.How long I'm there will depend on a number of things, main one being what turns up and then maybe who's about to talk to.

Clearly some of the regulars will be there, but we shouldn't forget all the hard work that has been put in throughout the winter, to get other buses ready for the rally season. Some of which we won't have seen under preservation before, and others that have gone through some significant change.

Although some of the preserved buses are double my age (I'm 22) I do really enjoy riding the stuff in preservation, just as it feels so much different in my opinion to the stuff we've got on the roads today, possibly my favourite ride last year was the Northumbria Optare Delta possibly because I had Optare Deltas on my local routes growing up, in fact I remember riding a Delta with the Northumbria seats in service on service 15 between Chilton and Aycliffe one day, no idea how old I was at the time. At the Kirkby Stephen rally the other week there was stuff in attendance that were new in the 1950/1960's so it's amazing to see these running around at these events, just goes to show how much care and effort goes into keeping these on the road for people to see and ride on.

My plan is likely to be the same as last year:
0847 7 Aycliffe - Durham
0944 X22 Durham - MetroCentre
1635 X22 MetroCentre - Durham
1731 7 Durham - Aycliffe
Hopefully I don't have a close shave with connecting between the X22 and Durham in the evening like last year!

I was also told that there might be A few preserved buses braking cover at the Metrocenter.
No before anyone askes R855 PRG is tested now but wont be out until Bishop Auckland Station event in June (11th).

May not bother taking my camera though will have to see as the last couple of years my photos have turned out awful so what's the point. Some canny stuff they sell at the stalls though, never bought much from them but always looks good. I know there is someone who does a fantastic job of painting the models into different liveries but can't remember who (I'm sure someone will).
