Thanks In Advance

I doubt it, SNE have always been abit tight with repaints, i cant imagine they would repaint vehicles into a temporary livery

I did notice they have a jubilee destination set now - suspect that will be it though.  It's a shame as a jubilee livery would have been ideal to get 17643 out of that plain white.

Was also a shame SNE was the only one of the big three who didn't send anything to Metrocentre rally, especially notable considering SCNL made it with their jubilee bus.

Was told there would be one, however at this late stage it would seem pointless. Paint diagrams for ALX400 are at Wheatsheaf now. Time will tell if 17643 goes corporate, the other three are still stuck with Tynemouth Priory and the Spanish City emblazoned on their bodysides...

yeah that would be interesting to see, as for the other vehicles i would have picked maybe 2 out of each batch of the E400s that are still in beach ball, like the NK58,NK10,NK60 and Hybrids.

as for single deckers i would have said the same for the NK09,NK11 E300s and then maybe some of the darts and E200s that are half reliable

Confirmation at the Metrocentre by a stagecoach driver. Seasider will no longer return. No idea what's happening to the branding. Driver also mentioned that he says they won't be round much longer

That's a point, they have been trashed, and travelling on 17645 last week on an E6 showed how knackered they are. Running two on the E1 dedicated extras and one for the 19 in the six weeks might see them off. There are a number of E400 open toppers that SNE could get for next yea.

Indeed I assumed an E400MMC would have been shopped. Perhaps they thought they would leave that to GNE

They were heaps when they arrived - NE once again being shafted with the Group's worst cast offs...bit like the Kinetics, and the ex Scotland MAN/E300s, and the Omnilinks sadly (though I did like the latter - just horrifically unreliable).  Another example of the downside of "progress" - the Olympians were proper stalwarts and would still be going strong!

At least 1 open top out on the E's today, currently on the E1 heading in to Sunderland.

If anyone wants pictures.
Ooo Friend, Bus Friend.

Maybe they're looking to plug some gaps!

The trainers can pop up anywhere, just as the Go trainers do.

Or perhaps assessing the routes of whatever replacements for GNE that Nexus have put out.
RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
i doubt this would happen but it would be interesting if Stockton's E300s stayed in Newcastle and once the decker's return send the older ALX 300s down to Stockton, would probably make sense with the CAZ

Rumour is the 64 plate E300s will be swapped with the ALX300s for CAZ - I doubt new buses will be brought in, cascades from other areas seem unlikely too.

The new owners of Stagecoach (DWS) have promised to increase investment in the fleet so once they take over fully might we see new vehicle orders?

Only one person is spreading that rumour - the official line coming from most staff (who had been briefed about it a good few months ago) is that Stockton are to lose some (or all) of the E200MMCs to Newcastle, seeing how they are already Euro6 rather than the E300s which would require modifications for use in Newcastle once (if, at the rate things are going) the CAZ comes in.

Of course, with the sale who knows what will happen now.

to be honest swapping the MMCs would probably make more sense in the long run
