As far as I am aware OO05 is on the road and working fine. I haven't seen Y40 on the Stanley locals for a bit now so im guessing it is still off the road for some problem.
RE: Stanley Travel
Looks like the 706/707 is coming to an end for Stanley Travel. The takings for the service each day are been taken so they are obviously monitoring how popular the service is and the takings are said not to pay the drivers wage. All this been said its partly down to them as they use OO03 STX on the service which is of course a high floor vehicle therefore people with push chairs or in wheelchairs can't use the services which loses a few pounds each day (providing that these are fare paying passengers).
RE: Stanley Travel
The 968 has had a right mixture on again this week.

Usually the Enviro, the last two days the Nexus MPD has been running it.

Haven't worked out if a certain vehicle operates on certain days of the week or if it is just a random allocation.

The Enviro was doing the Durham 40 service on Wednesday, I guess this has then impacted on the allocation for the 968. I assume there must be an issue with the electric Solo's when they have the Enviro on the 40.

There probably isn't but we all know what Stanley Travel are like for the allocations of the very few services that they have Tongue.

Yes, the Enviro was missing Wednesday too.
Drove past the MPD as it pulled in at Ye Olde Fashioned Beer Shoppe on its way to pick up a 452.

The Enviro was on the 40 again yesterday.

2 out of the 3 electric solos are currently VOR with the 3rd active one not been allocated so all three are currently sitting in the depot doing nothing.

Another Optare Solo has been aqquired from an unknown Scottish firm and is a 55 reg (we can obviously work out where it has came from once we get the full registration).

On Monday a new Enviro will be joining the fleet. This time the size of the Enviros typically used on the 6/7 (i am imagining, i doubt it will be any bigger) and is to be used, and im not joking, mainly on the 706/707/708. It will never get round Fines Park at Annfield Plain but we will have to see what happens.

This was on a Wembley run today from Gateshead.

The electric solos are a huge problem with 2 of the 3 dead. They need returning to Optare for major overhauls but DCC are not willing to write an open cheque for the repairs (they own the buses, Stanley just operate on councils behalf) so looks like it may be the end of the line for the Electric buses

Because ot was actually the nightingale vehicle that had the unsecure engine cover, terms of school contracts with DCC say if vosa fibd a defected vehilce on a school contract they terminate the contract.

My dad, who is a Stanley Travel employee, told me that it was OO05 STX that had the faulty engine cover. I have known this bus to operate a Scholars contract for the NDA in the 2013-2014 academic year so going off this i assume that the information about that incident was 100% correct. I cant see how discussion between employees can end up with a Stanley Travel bus been framed in the incident rather than the Nightengale bus as you are stating it to be.

Therefore i am, not meaning this in a argumentative way, going to believe that the bus involved in that particular incident was the Nexus MPD and not a Nightengale bus. I will also let you believe that it was something else but if we cant really come to an agreement i think it will be best if we just end it here before something bigger escalates.
RE: Stanley Travel
On a different note - Plaxton Elite J10STX was seen in Middlesbrough yesterday on Glenton Palmer tour work, this will be CN10HFY re-registered.
