Apologise for any mistakes in the above. Was written in note form for a little idea Scott had.

Timings should be alright though.

To make a little feature giving the details of all 'frequently odd workings'.

Odd workings which basically happen every single day.

I took the liberty of jotting down the GNE ones that I was aware of.

I better starting working through the Stagecoach Teesside ones then - should take too long (for the situation now - all change again come the end of the year).

Just remembered - I believe those short 8s on an evening have some kind of 'guaranteed connection' with an X1. Not 100% sure though.

Also, once again not 100% sure, the 265 runs by Chester used to use an OmniCity, but now that all 6 are required on the 50, I'm not sure. I think it was just temporary while waiting for all 6 to arrive or something.

If you're talking about the same Scott I'm thinking of - I'm surprised you don't already have the Teesside ones :p

I'll have to go through out as I'll need a pre-determined definition of 'frequently odd workings' - is that simply a regular wrong-route working by a branded vehicle or a vehicle that works one route most of the day then does something else either at the start or end of its day

Aye, I am.

Think he's just done the Arriva ones so far but he may have added Stagecosch ones since I last looked.

Either will do.

Have any for Hexham/PM?
I reckon this could go on the first page of the Rare and Odd Workings thread.

Hexham don't have any afaik. Peterlee wouldn't have either, if I didn't include the MPD which does scholars.

Must have accidentally missed off PM.

All I know is that the 91 is operated by Coasters in the morning, and 391 by MPDs in the morning and renowns in the evening.

Schools being off means one thing for the Dennis Trident/East Lancs Lolyne vehicles in the fleet - repaint time! 3873 (W183 SCU) is the first of a number to arrive at Saltmeadows for repaint into corporate livery.

Is this for Chester's Tridents n'all? Just saying - but Chester, although they have a large quantity of buses, always find a way to run dry Tongue

Michael noted the ones that were due for repaint a few days ago. I'd imagine at least one or two of Chester's will be done though.

Can any of the GNE drivers here enlighten me as to what the official policy is on 'beeping' picket lines when passing whilst on duty?

Been like that since the start of the year - with the shot below being taken in February:

I doubt it'd be covered by policy when the highway code suffices. As long as it's not aggressive, the bus isn't stationary, and its between 7am-11.30pm. If a driver wants to make a quick and safe gesture of solidarity to fellow union members I can't see any problem with it?

Would the main reason for doing this particular example first over all the others be because of its near side?

Probably because it was done first lasy time - for whatever reason back then - as I know the Fast Cats Solars were actually repainted in the same order as they were last time again this time.

I notice that more and more vehicles are re-gaining their external card readers too - with drivers being equally as clueless as to which reader passengers should be using!

Thankfully the plastic covering the cab door has also been replaced on the same vehicles.

Apologies for the mass posting... I notice a man in a high vis is currently unlocking the gates to the former Sunderland Road depot - at the same time a digger was coming down the bank. Could be worth going for some photos if anyone is in the area, in case they are now starting work on its demolition
