I'd never noticed prior to tonight, but a Merc on the 4 was telling the world it was going via 'Bourmoor'.

6084 on TEN through Corbridge @ 20:15 - probably 10 minutes late towards Hexham (rather than 15 minutes early towards Newcastle).

This might mean that the easterly TEN will be late leaving Hexham - unless they had a spare waiting.

There is an absolute stunner of a blonde driving 6056 today

I'd swipe!

I think I've seen her before, if it's who I'm thinking of!

Good to see the Merc artics getting a new lease of life down Brighton. Hopefully they'll be in service by May, so I can go hunting them out!

Looks like accident repairs to me, possibly a casualty of the winter weather we've just had.

Could be a bit like what they did with 6088 - it got hit in the front and they painted it over with a slightly noticeable different shade of the base colour. Wink

I doubt they would debranded buses bit by bit. The main cause for branding on buses being absent (while most of the other branding remains) is down to a new panel being fitted because of an accident as stated above (example).

The Limes (or what's left of them...) were always bad for having a panel over a piece of branding, thus making it quite scruffy look, in my opinion.

Yeah. 4853 is like that at the moment i have noticed. When the brand name is hit in an accident, a new vinyl should be applied so it can be identified. If its just some flowers on the front of a bus (like 6088) or the brand name on the front, i dont think it needs to be replaced - the destination should cover what livery the bus is in for those that care.

When any branding is missing from a bus, it is reported to the commercial deparment and the vinyls are subsequently ordered. In most cases, it's a matter of waiting until screen services can come out to apply the vinyls.

It would not be logical to keep a bus off the road because it is missing branding, so there is a period of time where the bus has to be out on the road with bits of branding missing.

Note the use of contravision for the vinyl of the Bishop's mitre too.

Think it's just the fresh paint making the colour look slightly deceptive!

Most, if not all, of the former "Laser" branded Mercedes Citaros have been de-branded now. Think they were done last weekend.

I live near the route of the 35/36 and haven't seen a single "Laser" branded example in over a week.

When do you think they'll gain their new branding?

Your guess is as good as mine with that one, I'm afraid.

They're clearly getting the "Prince Bishops" Scanias sorted out first (see earlier posts), and I'd hope they'd move on to the Mercs on the 35/36 or the Mercs on the 61 after that. By the time they've finished those, they'll have the Versas on the 2/2A to sort out too!

But the Versa's might just stay plain purple, they could be cascaded else where when new orders arrive......... i still think the 27 will get deckers to allow the citaro's to move to the 2/2A.
