Possibly broke down at the Galleries and was taken to the nearest depot by an engineer?

Although I would have thought it would be taken back to Chester-le-Street.

30 mins of waiting at Gateshead for the X1, and there's two now running up the bank together.

The 21 seems to be having similar problems. Two Durham bound and a Chester bound all pulled in to Gateshead together, followed by another Durham bound, some 5 mins later.

Oh and I can't see the Wireless SSID being broadcast on 6049 for info.

Possibly congestion in Newcastle City Centre. I haven't been out today, so I can't comment on what it's like there. But I have seen exactly this happen before. Smile

News to me. I've been there for the best part of two hours, and everything is flowing nicely. Usual at the Percy Street lights, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Could be further down their respective routes that they are having difficulties with then, maybe the X1 having issues on that section of Old Durham Road and the 21 around the Birtley-Gateshead section.

It's Friday as well, so there may be an extra amount of passengers heading into Newcastle; that could have an effect of some sort.

I don't know! Tongue

I understand the concept of traffic congestion, but you're clutching at straws! Smile I was curious to know if anyone had any factual information as to what's causing the delays.

On another note, is 6049 being tracked via AVL? Just struck me, as the social media team gave me an (accurate) ETA, rather than the usual "have you managed to travel yet?"

Ah. Best find Mr. 5284! Tongue

To be fair, Angel convoys aren't out of the ordinary at all. A mix of congestion around bus stations, Durham Road, it's probably beyond help.

Be interesting when GNE bring tracking in (like the Arriva app) it will hopefully cut the burden on their CS teams if someone can log on and see the 28 is 13 minutes late or appears stationary (ie - kaput!)

Noticed a few times now on social media, that once the passenger provides a stop number - a response with the ETA is given.

Looks like the trials that have been ongoing over the last few years, are starting to make some progress!

Customer Services have had access to an operational AVL system since December at the very least.

Yes. I think so. I don't see why he needs to make a special reply saying what he has done. I don't know what he expects to get from it...

Just ignore it?

If it was just once or twice then yes i would but whenever news of a vehicle transfer/repaint/brand etc he is always the first to say 'i got a photo' and after a while, it gets annoying. Think of it like you with the fleet news the other day. You managed to ignore him duplicating the fleet news for several months but decided to make a point of doing something because it started getting to you. This is just an example of what the problem is. Maybe the way i went about it was slightly nasty as users have been perceived to be but in reality the situation is exactly the same as the example.

I'm not sure about that, Bazza, as I haven't been in Sunderland since 7am this morning.

I have been told that 8324 has returned to Deptford following repaint, though.

probs be out soon more than likely either tomorrow or next few days probs Monday as Sunday services happen on Sundays and the PVR of all services decreases eg lets just say 88 uses 9 buses they would probs use 5 on a Sunday as 88 only runs

Really?, wow thanks for the info!
Ooo Friend, Bus Friend.
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2015
To be fair, I don't think there is any need for that?

I can understand when he is posting irrelevant information, but he is only saying that the PVR on Sundays decreases? If anyone else was saying that I doubt they would get a sarcastic reply back?

I never said it wasn't. I'm just saying every time Bazza posts something there is a sarcastic reply back!
I completely understand the fleet news thing as that was a joke, but it is a bit irritating making sarcastic comments after Bazza posts, as that never happens after anyone else posts.

Not sure, think I'm going to head over that way tomorrow, so I'll let you know what ones I see/don't see.
Seems to have been a lot of Solars on the 35/36 lately though...

Yup. 5202 and 5203 were on on Tuesday, and I think 4942 too.

And then 3979 and 4943(?) on today...
