Newcastle one Tune army bus

After a quick search I cant find the Sunderland one, Wear fm if memory serves me correct.

That Tune Army paintjob looks horrible, a Zebra on 4 wheels

Dont think I have seen many ENCTS card holders use the 700 that much, I have used my ENCTS card a few times and each time I was the only ENCTS passenger on the bus

My concern was more if the service was extended to Seaburn as suggested.

Most use I see of ENCTS card holders appears to be from the Winter Gardens/Holmeside area to the Millfield/St. Marke's area.

That will be because no one is at University on a Weekend so it is bound run around empty, although there might be the select few who go in to use Libary or other Facilities which are open on a Weekend.

Weekend Service is still provided as it provides links to various Landmarks across the City, including the Glass Centre and The Winter Gardens, would imagine if Tourists were in Town then they would use the 700 to get from A to B.

Nice one, wouldn't get away with contravision over the cab window like that now. Not entirely sure but was this the first use of contravision? What year was this?

There was a Sunderland Busways Lynx in an all over advert covering the bus except front with cable and wireless years gone by.

HMB was 1997:

Wasn't there a Redby one, which had an all over wrap for Nordstrom?

Was it Wear Buses?
Could have sworn it was a Redby.

Either way, knew it had been covered in a Nordstrom wrap.

Wear Buses Renault S56,291 if my memory is correct, remember the cab door looking like a house front door, dont think it was a full wrap though.

Redby had a marshall bodied Volvo B6, L83CNY again by memory. This was for a PVC window company, not a full wrap though. They also had the Durham Cricket Club Lynx around the same time, but again not a full wrap.

Yeah I do Smile My grandparents used to take me and my cousins down for a walk along the Quayside just after the Baltic was transformed & the Millennium Bridge was erected.

As for the bus, I remember it was the number 60 (before the Quaylink came along). I think the fleet number of the bus was 515, but I may be wrong.

Yep wearbuses Renault fleet number 293, and when the metro riders came in, the renaults were withdrawn with a metro rider taking on the Nordstrom livery

B&H 8888 that i posted a picture in the latest thread with accident damage is a streetdeck and is supposed to be coming to the fleet for a demonstration period. Unfortunately, it has been everywhere but here at the moment.

Never know, least then the 238 might have branded buses again also think the 38 will get some if that happens... have to remember that NEXUS are changing the 79/79A to 238/239... they'll probs need more buses to fit the euro engine thing.

We only know about the Streetlites, Nothing has being said about other buses.

I think Go North East would be wanting to offload the remaining 52reg Mini Pointer Darts while they can, so I wouldnt think Solo SRs for the East Durham Network is out of the Question Fozz, keep your fingers and toes crossed Wink , anyway the remaining 52reg MPDs are listed below.

524 - NA52 AWG
536 - NA52 AWY
537 - NA52 AWZ
538 - NA52 AXB
539 - NA52 AXC
541 - NA52 AXF
542 - NA52 AXG
543 - NA52 AXH
544 - NA52 AXJ
545 - NA52 AXK
546 - NA52 AXM
547 - NA52 AXN
548 - NA52 AXO

Alternatively Go North East could give them a Full Internal Refurb and do some more Eminox Modifications to boost there Euro Rating, maybe even retrofit a Flybrid System to them also and have them running for many years to come, who am I kidding ehh.
