Big DFDS work this week again. 6168/69/70 in use too I believe. A shame there hasn't been time for them to tidy them up. Don't know why they put the decent stuff on 327 when they have loans.

6167-69 have now transferred to Percy Main "permanently", but the three OmniDekkas they have replaced in the fleet at Percy Main won't transfer to Riverside until Saturday (as a result of the higher vehicle requirements on DFDS this week).

The two Brighton & Hove ones shouldn't have transferred to Percy Main on loan, and are going back to Saltmeadows tomorrow. Other loans include 6123 and 6137 from Saltmeadows to Percy Main, 6033 from Riverside to Percy Main, 6928 from Riverside to Chester-le-Street, and 5337 from Deptford to Chester-le-Street.

The Volvo B9s allocated to the 327 today are probably the ones which were off service this morning, or required safety inspection today. That was certainly the case for 6117, which had only just returned to Percy Main following refurbishment.

6164 was allocated to the 145 scholars service this afternoon - a Gateshead scholars, not Percy Main.

Not having much luck with them!

Maybe if GNE had ordered 4 low-height StreetDecks instead Wrightbus wouldn't have gone to pot and we'd have all the buses out by now!

RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - October 2019
There are two 1A's that start at Dunston (Wellington Street) at 0752 & 0823. Does anyone know what services these buses do beforehand?

To be fair, the problem is with the Hanover Displays equipment which isn't ADLs fault, so the same problem could occur regardless of vehicle type.

Id be guessing 91 mate, they end right next door in Team Valley, used to go onto 1 at Wrekenton after 7:12 but would be sensible to switch

Different issues at bay now.

The issues with the Hanover equipment was ADL's fault, but this was repaired yesterday.

Thanks for clearing that up, Dan.

Just saw on Twitter that yesterday MG said that the E400s will be entering service in the next day or two.

Was that before these different issues appeared?

Thought it might have been. I did get my hopes up slightly that they'd been resolved

RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - October 2019
6904 made a nuisance of itself in Sunderland this morning, breaking down at the St Michaels Way/Livingstone Road roundabout. Engineering were in attendance at around 7:30am.

It's long-term VOR at Consett, which is why 635 has transferred to Consett in a float/reserve capacity.

Surprised you didn't see it at Hownsgill on Sunday!

Not sure if it's helpful, but we do a 1A at 0627 with a parks before it does 54s.

The 91s come off the 1 services that terminate in Newcastle which then go back onto the 1 not 1A.

Believe the ones from Dunston run light from Percy main to pick the 1A up

The first one (4:56AM) doesn't do this could be one if changed but i think it has always done 7:12, could be a change in newcastle runs

The Volvo B9s completed so far are 6043-48, 6071-84, 6085-87/89-91/94-98, 6100/2/3/5/8/11/16/17 and 6150/53/54.

8307 and 8328 are also fitted with trial Euro 6 systems.

Good riddance, awful thing. Couple of times I thought it was going to kill me when the brakes decided to barely work at the bottom of Beacon Lough Bank. I've no confidence whatsoever in Optare's full electric products having driven that heap.

Or it would lurch forward when braking, I'm also glad to see the back of it.
