(11 Aug 2015, 9:30 pm)South Tyne Lad Even though im not a Mackem...
Who needs Nandos and The Handmade Burger Company when you can have a Greggs

EDIT  Just remembered theve started to put inside dining inside there shops so there you go, Fine Dining  Big Grin

I and charge you extra for the privilage of doing so, Greggs might be nice and all but prices are starting to become quite vertical, which is why whenever I am in Newcastle I go to Eat 4 Less for Dinner, if only Sunderland had one also.

(11 Aug 2015, 9:25 pm)Tom Aye they should take it out for you. I'm sure you can create your own burger too, if you do go the pulled pork one was delicious. The only downside with Handmade Burger Co. is that you have to pay for your fries. So can be a bit pricey.

Yep - they should - but I can't even persuade him that where the menu says "artesan ham, dandelion leaves, mustard mayonnaise and unicorn spit, made to order" they would probably happily make him a plain ham salad sarnie with no offensive gunk in it. If it's not on the menu and the walls aren't covered with signs saying they'll leave stuff out (thank you Burger King - for that little detail, your burgers are shite, but perfectly acceptable to him and your fish sandwich is far superior to a Filet o' McFish because your bread isn't so sweet I get palpitations)

And I'm good with pricey if it gets eaten!

In big'un's words, Greggs is mush. he's never tried it, but he hates the smell of the place and I can't actually find a convincing argument against him. Not even a cheese savoury stottie as, well, cheese.

Little'un would be like a pig in poo, there.

We walked through Keel Square on Monday. A lot less grim than when we last walked through those doors, back in the winter, to avoid the December crush. There was a lad of about 10 paddling in the fountain in just his undercrackers!

Ye the area is a lot better now, a lot of parents seem to allow their children to do that... i wouldn't be so keen, you don't know who's knocking about.

What is it with cutting big B&Q sores in half and turning them into Morrisons? That's what they're in the process of doing in Durham. Of course the new half size B&Q store isn't "smaller", oh no. It's been designed to make everything (that less than everything used to be) much easier to find. It's also crap. I'll be livid if they do the same to the Portrack store.

Think they're working together, seems random but hopefully it works.... shopping and getting wood etc at the same time.

I like some of the ideas people have proposed....

All we need to do is.. knock down the whole seafront and start again............ the buildings are to old and horrible.... thank god the Seaburn centre will go to.
