Wright Renown / Volvo B10BLE 4509 has been withdrawn from service after a serious failure.
Alexander Dennis ALX400 / Volvo B7TL 7446 has moved from Jesmond to Ashington.
Wright Gemini / Volvo B7TL 7494 (Jesmond) has received allover Strongbow adverts, currently sat in Ashington depot.

What happened with 4509?

All I've been told that it was a catastrophic breakdown, the supervisor who I was talking to wasn't on that day so that's all the info I got.

Doesn't sound great like,

Did 7494 get it's adverts applied at Ashington, or is it there for another reason?

Can't believe they've broke one of the best B10BLEs!

7494 was advert-ised at Jesmond.

1504 is the first of many to return from MAX refurbishment at Thorntons.
Talking of MAX refurbishment, two VLW's currently at Thorntons are VLW102/103, one of these will be going to Blyth depot - presumably to release 7609 to Durham in its "spare bus" branding. This is to ensure that the X12 has a DD replacement available should one be off the road (which is all to frequent with those Geminis!) - the new Durham Uni contract specification doesn't allow us to use a Lowlander.

Appears to be standard Civic V2s (unless new seats are fitted while undergoing refurbishment) - so the same level of comfort as the 'eco-green' Streetlites.

Sad  Kill me now.

Forgot to mention last night that 7494 is in service at Ashington. (should be out tomorrow on the one of the B7TL routes, X20, 34 or 35s.)

Quite unusual
I thought they would've used 4652 or 4658

Why? Considering Stockton will use Pulsars on their X66/X67 runs and their three Omnicitys are due to transfer to Darlington for the X75/X76.

It broke down. It didn't blow up, it didn't have a catastrophic fall of a cliff. It broke down. No there is no visible damage, but it will not be revived.

In other words:

There is no visible damage because it broke down rather than being involved in an incident.

Thank you.

So much wibble when a vehicle gets withdrawn sometimes.

i was thinking since ashington is getting 1418 or 1408 which ever it is, i think they should put a branding on for the 35 as i think it is slightly bigger than the streetlites

Would look a bit silly branding a Pulsar for the 35 especially as it can't really be put in the Eco Green livery to match the StreetLite's. Pulsars seat 44 which is the same seating capacity as the StreetLite's but Pulsars can carry more standees.

thanks thought the pulsars had more seats in them and i gather the pulsar will be mostly on the 35

is the any reason why phoenix KX53 SCZ is parked in ashington bus depot. passed in the early hours of the morning?

There has been some strange movements with KX53 SCZ recently. I can only presume that it's to stop the interworking of the schools deckers, which involve the schools driver taking a minibus to North Seaton, then doing a round trip on the 30, then the decker will be at North Seaton ready for the next runs.

The 30 driver probably will drive to Ashington (in car) then drive KX53 SCZ on the 30.
