(12 Oct 2015, 4:06 pm)Jimmi How's everyone finding the 5p carrier bag charge? I decided to buy a bag for life thing from USC a few days before the charge came in. Some people aren't happy about this, I was in Sunderland on Saturday and I saw a woman carrying a load of shopping in her arms presumably not wanting to pay for carrier bags.I just carry stuff now.

Carrying several bags around with us so we dont have to pay for one is an inconvenience and paying 5p for a bag is, also, an inconvenience. Seems thats all the government want to do.
The other option of course is do what has already been mentioned. Don't ask for a bag and carry it.

(14 Oct 2015, 9:15 pm)Adrian You'd expect people to be civilised to one another, and not to use the infliction of pain as a punishment. Saudi Arabia have a disgusting human rights record, and we should be doing all we can to support one of our citizens out there.
