There was an 11reg example on the X88 earlier, may of been 6002 which then incurred a fault at MetroCentre, and was taken back to Riverside Depot to be repaired possibly.

Someone said bus next stop announcements would have to be changed as Stu Elemore had left metro radio. Well I've heard him twice this week on the radio and yes on metro radio
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2015
Fleet News: 09/11/15

Dennis Trident 3874: W184 SCU has entered service at Stanley following repairs and Omnicity 5273: NK56 KJJ has been transferred from Stanley to Percy Main.

A networked show perhaps? Like most of the weekend stuff and some weekday broadcasts?
Both Metro and Radio Aire are in the same group.
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2015
Apologies for the double post.

When using the 8 recently, I noted a guy getting up, pressing the bell for the stop on Pattinson Road as it was announced (just after pulling away from Colima Avenue) and then proceeding to move towards the front of the bus.

Appreciate the driver could have pointed something out, but maybe worth noting for the actual announcement timings.

It is quite a distance between stops. Not quite Testos Roundabout to Peterlee - but when we are told about the reasons for next stop announcements, maybe one to bear in mind.

No. I saw 5170 and another dual door Renown on. I can However confirm 5294 is on.

All that needs to be updated is the logo - the voice does not need to be changed.

Stuart Elmore is still a recognised 'Metro Radio' DJ as he and Kelly have a networked show on Saturdays from 6am until 9am.

No, it's a full Volvo B9 allocation today.

(09 Nov 2015, 12:14 pm)Michael wrote Is all the 57 allocations today Citaro's?

It won't be operated wholly by Mercedes Citaros until all of the dual-door Volvo B10BLEs are modified to become DDA-compliant and repainted into Go North East's corporate livery - as noted on our news page, 5167 and 5168 have now arrived at Thorntons to receive DDA modifications, so the ball is now rolling, and there should be at least two of the blue Mercedes Citaros allocated to the 57 on a daily basis.

Any dual-door Volvo B10BLEs which cannot be replaced prior to 1 January 2016 will have to be modified to become DDA-compliant.

There are still nine dual-door examples left in active service - the first of Percy Main's 515x examples was withdrawn late last month (5159), although this has yet to be noted in Go North East's Fleet Allocation, and I believe a number are still pending withdrawal having been replaced by other vehicles over the past few weeks.

As for 'duplicating information' - you wouldn't be doing this if you added further information / added to the discussion with regards to this topic (like how I answered your question by referencing it)? Smile

More than likely they will Probs throw X9/X10 vehicles on other routes that don't go near bridges

Hopefully all of the 1999 ones will be withdrawn.... have orders gone in yet for new buses?

Iirc, Dan posted yesterday that 5273 had transferred to Percy Main, so that could be used on a service which 5166 would have been allocated to, then once it comes back from being modified, another Dual Door can be withdrawn

Not sure if it's true or not, but I believe someone posted on Facebook 7 Streetdecks have been ordered for the Pronto.
