(13 Jan 2016, 8:03 pm)Diamond One wrote Same applies to 8260 when that was at Sunderland Road was the worse bus however when it went to Deptford then Washington was a canny bus
(13 Jan 2016, 8:18 pm)South Tyne Lad wrote Its certainly better than the Merits! But apart from the Red Arrows B9s and 4935, All of Washingtons allocation is Crap.
Understand 8260 is not at Washington anymore.

(13 Jan 2016, 8:21 pm)South Tyne Lad wrote Its a Great bus but just the drivers on the 88 never push the bus above 20 most of the time but still, Best bus at Washington I think.
(13 Jan 2016, 8:25 pm)DanPicken wrote Fair enough 8253 couldn't even do 20, the amount of times it failed, jeez! The Street Shuttles weren't very good, one day it was carrying a full and standing load when I was on from school was horrible, 8289 was nice for it's loan felt good to have it as it was the last RYB bus.
(13 Jan 2016, 8:39 pm)South Tyne Lad wrote Haha 8253 have great memories of that one, remember for a period 524 just about became part of the allocation as it was on the 88 daily.
Never got a ride on 8289 but remember it passing my house lots.
(13 Jan 2016, 8:15 pm)South Tyne Lad wrote Dunno how its any cannier than when at Sunderland Road, Nothings changed on it.It was a rattler during its Sunderland road days when Washington got it was fixed up and hardly rattled

(13 Jan 2016, 8:52 pm)R852 PRG wrote 8289 was quite unique. Was the last bus in the fleet to sport the red/blue/yellow livery. Can remember it saw frequent allocation to the 71 when that service existed (and was operated by Chester-le-Street), often rode it and was probably in the best condition of the other Darts at Chester-le-Street, however, I personally favoured 8236/37/38 as they had the graffiti moquette interior.
