They can use centrelink. Double deckers turn left before the low bridge and go down to the Swing Bridge. This is the same way that the 10 goes every morning during rush hour.

The second version is the standard offering.

I believe Wrightbus no longer provide the first version as standard, so if an operator wanted this styling, it would incur a greater cost.

It was out on the North Tyne Links services yesterday, and is on the 434/448 today.

With 8266 getting a internal refurbishment - i would imagine this could confirm that this Merit will not leave once the Streetlites arrive?

Or is it just adding value on to them?

It could have certainly done with the seats being retrimmed, as it's a mix, match of different moquettes, although it's pretty difficult to keep the moquettes the same considering it came from dealer stock, so GNE don't have the moquette to match. Just hope the same doesn't happen to the Red Kite B9's in the future.

I believe it runs light to Guide Post, then 448 to Bedlington Station, a few rounds on the 434 before either heading light from Ashington (Weds only) or 434 to Bedlington Station before doing the return 448 to Guide Post then light to depot.

I think it might be spare until it gets shunted and cleaned, I could be wrong?

Is it not GNE's policy to announce changes anymore?

They didn't even announce that extra journeys on the 74 had been funded, only reason i knew was because i seen the new timetable uploaded.....

The last set of changes to the Tynedale Links - when they were expended to Aldi but they weren't announced - although they were small changes, still should of been mentioned... as the X84/X85 changes was..........

I wonder why it was removed, i thought GNE kept the link on for a while - they still have stuff on their site from last July.

Still, nothing was said about the 74 running on an evening again though.

Also they still have it down on their site that the 74A still runs.

Was there anything mentioned the 434 moving stops in Ashington town centre? There were people left waiting almost two hours as they were waiting in the bus station heading to Linton on the day of the changes?

There's a trend here... Changes made by the county council haven't been advertised by Go North East - evening journeys on service 74 reinstated, and stopping places amended for service 434.

Did the county council provide this information in the web and print formats, as Go North East usually does with their own commercial service changes?

To me, yes its the council who's funding them but shouldn't they say to the likes of GNE, advertise this, make sure the numbers are decent to keep it running.

I wonder how many people know that the 74 is now running later?

Will the X1 changes be post on the site, as its N-power who's making cuts to the funding to the 921/922/923?

There was no updated timetables for the stands sent to Arriva in time for the changes. I find the council's website utterly useless for bus service updates, after the 30/34 cuts where they were not advertised nor was the replacement taxibus.

I even checked the bus stop timetable on Lintonville Terrace on the day and a few days after and there was no 434 journeys listed.

The first place where I heard about the changes were here, and on the GNE website, even that took a bit of digging to find what was happening with the changes.

On the theme of the 434, I noticed that the destinations have been updated to read "via Milburn Road - Stakeford..." instead of "North Seaton", but the 19s just reads "via Stakeford - ..."?

Do you really think they'd stick a B10 or other full sized single deck on the S1? Not having a go, just putting the thought forward.

On another note, 4966 has apparently had the same treatment although this one could be a possible typo?
