Exactly what we need - more ticketing options in Durham that drivers won't be able to remember!

The five for a fiver is quite a good idea, only that there are barely any buses running after 7pm.

'Some drivers' you mean :p - we don't all struggle to remember the options.  Some of us even know the fares off by heart, sad as it may seem.

7416 is not a MAX vehicle but is in that livery and has urban90s.

I commend you or any other driver that can remember every single product offering. Especially when driving something like the X12, and having to contend with Teesside and Tyneside's tickets too. Tongue

A point I've brought up previously is that there's no need to be so many ticket offerings. If the customers don't understand them, then there's little benefit to having them, and it's perhaps time for commercial to have a bit of a think about it.

On the X12, you have the X12 routesaver, or alternatively the X12-X24 routesaver, plus the family version (which many people don't know how to issue).  The problem some Durham drivers have is Tyne & Wear tickets, which isn't helped by the fact that the U16 CAT ticket is set up to be issued as a 'single ticket' rather than a day ticket, and also the 'T&W Transfares' are hidden away under a special menu.  It's understandable that some people will struggle to get to grips with things, but at the end of the day, it's our job to make sure that we're familiar with the products we offer.

These vehicles had a retrim while at Arriva London, and I've also heard about the vehicle being released by Thorntons early so the Metro replacement contract could be covered.

All I will say is get your photos of them with ANE while you can, it's likely that only some of them will be staying.

But all of them have received the NE Volvo fleet numbers, surely they would be put into the 0000 range if they weren't staying?

This may be stating the obvious, but perhaps in a change of plan Arriva North East are now to receive a number of Brand New vehicles from the 2016/2017 order book, rather than Cascades Angel from elsewhere as originally planned. And given that some of the recent cascaded stock has proved to be a little unreliable, perhaps Brand New stock would make far more sense. It would seem very strange for Arriva North East not to receive any brand new vehicles in 2016.

Sounds interesting.... Big Grin

But.........does the 35 lose out at all, 3 B7TLs were destined for there.

I have no idea whether Arriva are now to receive Brand New Stock, I am mainly theorising based on the comments made by Tyresmoke. Vehicles are clearly still required to convert Durham services 46/48 to MAX Specification, whilst non-DDA compliant Double Deckers also need to be replaced. If the MAX refurbished ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL's (or at least some of them) are to now be transferred elsewhere, presumably something else will need to replace them. Hence why I am guessing Brand New Stock may now be heading to Arriva North East.
