Talking of TrentBarton and destinations...i think the destination for 'the Comet' is really impressive. Great use of the whole destination to give an outstanding effect.

I believe some of Brighton & Hove's new double-decks are due to be delivered next month.

Service 1 is allocated Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs - most of them are 12-plates. Services 28/29 are allocated East Lancs OmniDekka bodied Scania N270UDs - these are 57-plates.

I understand 03 and 04 plate East Lancs OmniDekka bodied Scania N94UDs are expected to be cascaded as a result. Would expect these to be the examples route-branded for services 48 (628-633) and 50 (601-03/05) as well as the other examples in the YN04 Gxx series batch.

Thanks for the info.

Go North East will probables get some of these OmniDekka's to replace the remaining none DDA double deckers in the fleet.

Just six "Regency" branded Scania N94UD/East Lancs OmniDekkas remain: 679 - 684. These should be cascaded to other routes, to replace older examples of the same vehicle type.

In other news, Scania N270UD/Scania Omnicity 715 (YP09 HWB) has now been sold to sister Go-Ahead opco Metrobus.

Mind, I'm impressed with the new 'Regency Route' branding that Brighton & Hove have introduced. It looks like they've re-upholstered the seats into purple too, given that they were the standard Brighton & Hove red, when I used this batch last year.

Had a go on my first MCV bodied Merc recently.
It was operating on Thames Travel's X39 (or 40).

Not too sure whether I liked it or not.

Looking at the fleet list. It isn't a one-off. Will see if I can get any more sampled.

Mallusk Industrial Estate - it's where all Wrights buses get PDI'd over in Ireland, prior to shipping.

Usually there for no more than a week before they get released to Belfast Docks.

Just in reference to this, I'd asked about the Streetdecks when I was down there last week, and I was told it'd be the end of June before they would be entering service. An enquiry on their facebook page received the same answer.

It seems to have taken them some time to fulfil this order, given that they've started taking the Geminis off the 1 and Regency branding them, already. East Lancs OmniDekkas were making up the slack on the 1 last week.

I think Brighton will hold onto most of them for now - they'll need some paint floats (for the Volvo B9s undergoing the Regency treatment) and general spares in case of any teething issues with the StreetDecks.
