When are 691/692 arriving?

I would imagine, 2 of the Citaro's will be staying at Peterlee until they enter service?

Which vehicle usually operates the 10X from Hexham to Newcastle on a morning?

And then which vehicles are usually allocated to all the evening 10X runs back to Hexham and Prudhoe?

I believe the Hexham runs are Branded B9s , Both the Morning and the Evening return.
Ones from Prudhoe on a morning are a X66 Streetlite followed by a Vyking.
Evening Pruhoes are both Vykings I think.

Whats the average time it takes for a bus company to review a service, because its been 4 months since the north tyneside changes, and the 11,i dont dislike it but i have concerns that it might be dying,Q3 to me is also an iffy one,the 42 seems to be doing well

Funnily enough the 11 seems to be doing very well since I mentioned it was normally empty. Saw one today coming from Newcastle in Wallsend at 1ish and it had no/few seats left, and a 22 behind practically empty... A few weeks ago it would be the other way around (guessing it's something to do with the shocking reliability of the 22). Most people from Rosehill/Wallsend seem to favour it over the 1/22 as I've seen many people wait specifically for it and get off in Newcastle.

Q3 can be empty but then other times can have decent loads,  not sure if it will last to be honest. and 42 could do with something bigger than solos. After all it is basically the 17 Wallsend-Cramlington and that used to get full with B10s. Wallsend-North Shields section is a bit iffy. Normally the reviews are every 6 months i think so not long to go.

(30 Nov 2016, 10:52 pm)mb134 wrote I'm really not too sure on what the loads are usually like on the TTX, however:

An Astromega TDX27, which I believe is what is used on the Oxford Tube, has a seating capacity of 91 (Stated as 63 + 26 + 1 + 1 in the brochure). This is a larger seating capacity than the longest E400. While I understand that standees aren't allowed on coaches, are there ever really that many standing loads?

Even a Plaxton Elite i can hold 75 passengers, which I believe is similar to the seating capacity of the current B9TLs that are used on the service.

Also, at every 30 minutes, is it really a massive issue if 2 people aren't able to board? I'm sure they'd prefer to wait half an hour and get a seat on a coach, than stand on a double decker that can barely cope with the route anyway, let alone with a standing load.

Only it's not every 30 minutes, unless you're not travelling past Heworth (in which case the 27 is a better option) or you're travelling the whole way to boro.

I saw 6128 the other day, it was fully red. I was expecting to see some blue on it, but there was no such colour on this bus! Is there verification that it has actually been painted, and as such I'm just extremely blind?

Thank god for that. The news on the forum says it has had a half repaint, thought I was going mad.

With 691 and 692 not arriving yet, will GNE stick 2 Citaro's on the X6/X7 from Monday until they arrive?

Yes. Likely to be 5333 and 5335 allocated until 691 and 692 arrive, as both 5334 and 5336 are undergoing repaint at present.

692 is due to be delivered to Go North East on Monday.

Thanks.

Any news on when 699 will enter service at Deptford?, hopefully it's branded before it enters service, meaning they can start branding the Solo's Sr's and Scania's  Angel Angel Angel Tongue Tongue

698/700 are still down as unallocated on the fleet lists.

699 is out of MOT.

It needs to be tested before it can enter service.

With the X6 starting on Monday, which route is it going to take through West View? Will it be running via Warren Road and Davison Drive like Arriva's 23, or is it going to run full length of Winterbottom Avenue and onto West View Road like Stagecoach's 4&6?

Same with 5249, seen it at around 4pm on the X1 still in Northern livery despite the NEB News stating it's been repainted.

This is because repaints are noted on the first day the bus is off service for repaint, rather than the actual day it is painted.

5249 was off service for repaint this morning, but was required for service at last minute, so did not go to Saltmeadows Road.

Will probably be Monday before it goes now - depending on if it can be released on the day.

Not the same at all..! This is the downside to us having such an up to date news page - it's sometimes too up to date!
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2016
That moment when your "Taglines" are both "Mathematically" and "Factually" incorrect.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/nebp2/3124...otostream/

Let's do the Maths here as according to Google.

Google states that the distance in Miles between Earth and the Moon is 238,900 Miles, if you times that by 72 you only get 17,200,800 Miles to be exact, not 35 Million as Go North East state. So to be both "Mathematically" and "Factually" correct you would need to travel to the moon 147 times to achieve over 35 Million Miles, which is more than double what they've stated.

Ohh Dear Ohh Dear Ohh Dear someone at Go North East has had an absolute howler, almost comparable to the officiating of Andre Marriner at the Sunderland Match this afternoon, embarrassing to say to the least.
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2016
(03 Dec 2016, 8:11 pm)S813 FVK wrote Is it though? Do you expect passengers to be sad enough to actually go and research the distance between the earth and the moon (which is actually only 238,855 miles according to a much more reliable source than google) and do the necessary calculations to verify whether what was on the side of the bus they travelled on was correct? The majority of people will see it and not even put how factual the information into question.

Yes I do think despite the chances of it being slim someone will realise the information on the side of the bus is incorrect, as I have just clearly demonstrated. And to be fair if your going produce something on the basis of facts, then the Marketing Department at Go North East should ensure all statements they make are indeed correct, otherwise said statements are meaningless and a waste of time and effort when the company could focus on other aspects of improving it corporate identity.
