Possibly, but I can't see how NCC could justify paying an operator to run a service when there's a commercial alternative regardless of either service's popularity.

I heard it was May thank god they have brought it forward. Arriva's effort of running the 472 has been very poor and the vast majority of locals much prefer to deal with Travelsure than Arriva hence why they've won the war between them.

Arriva North East: Upcoming Service Changes
Has anybody noticed on the new X24 paper format timetable that there's a miss print on the front of the timetable?

On the front of the leaflet, it states the incorrect service number above the list of places served, think it says service 9 or something like that?

The issue is that response shouldn't be required, and wheelchair users should be able to board buses. Obviously a broken ramp is slightly different (provided it was checked and worked on a first use inspection, and the defect happened in service), but the reports on here and elsewhere indicate that GNE have been knowingly sending out vehicles that cannot safely board wheelchair users at various bus stations, due to the centre door position of the ramp.

Wonder if they're giving in to public pressure and putting the X67 via Hartburn shops?

No, that's just how they now appear on the daily VOSA search. They are all amendments to the existing registration.

EDIT: Including that 86 one - a renumber of the present 870.

If it is being extended, it opens up a bit of competition with the GNE services that go via Pittington.

On a different note, the Pulsar on X24 from the Metrocentre, arriving in to Durham just before 1700 - heaving.
Appreciate it is just one example, but there must be some sort of demand.

1517 - saw the 14:12 off Metrocentre today and it was left with a fair few passengers on-board.

I dont understand how they were able to run it for so long with double deckers but from my observations at least, it's carried roughly the same number of passengers on a single decker as it was when it was allocated a double decker, unless the changes last year were a last attempt to get the service to work.

Arriva even sent people out on Travelsure's 472 to check passenger numbers, reports came back with woefully low usage, but they still went ahead and bidded for the route!

I don't know what went wrong, they did a good job running it years ago after the Northumbria days.

You mean when they still had an Alnwick depot? Closing that is where they went wrong.

In time for school runs, I imagine, though the Indigo services are better for Belmont.

True, that was the worst thing they ever done.
