Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2017

RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2017
For anyone Teesside bound, 1450 is out on the xx27 27 from Middlesbrough until 1627 (last trip - terminates at Netherfields)

I doubt it... I think it will be a Durham/Darlington bus

1500 has now received branding for service 306 - ironically allocated to service 685 today.

There was also an X16 branded pulsar on the 685.  Didn't see which one (1408 or 1411)

Same with only 7806 for the 308.

Anyone after 1450, if you are in the Durham area at teatime, it will be the 1715 X12 back to Middlesbrough. Just passed it at Summerville heading towards Middlesbrough on the X22.

The Eco brand was never going to be scrapped, just Frequent and Express.

I think painting the roof pod green would have been a good idea. The bonded glass makes the green swoop rather insignificant!

Also a correction to my previous post regarding regs, 41 is NNO and 42 is NNT (not 44 as I previously said, it's hard to remember fleet numbers when i didn't get a photo of the ID inside  Big Grin )

7541 - YX17 NNO
7542 - YX17 NNT
7543 - YX17 NNR
7545 - YX17 NNU
7546 - YX17 NNV

For a de novo livery, rather than an add on, that all looks a bit cobbled together and badly proportioned. Everything behind the swoop is not the least bit aesthetically pleasing.

It's a nightmare! The colours and even the styling with the swoops aren't that bad, if a little generic. It's everything stuck to it that gives you a headache. The massive URL is there like anyone accesses webpages by typing out the full web address? I was on a new Sapphire E400 City in Chester the other day and the stickers (not even contravison) over the top deck rear side windows defeated the point of the panoramic glazing on the E400 City.

Also I'm not particularly a neat freak but the gap in the swoops round the ad-frame is making me itch.

Have to agree with all the comments on the livery. Does not look premium at all compared to the previous version. Just looks all thrown together.
