Hoping and going to guess this will happen :
5325-5331 branded for 35
5305-5309 for 61
5332-5336 for the 9
Maybe 5324 could transfer to deptford

(20 Oct 2017, 10:28 am)ifm001 Citaro 5335 or 5336 just came off the A1 southbound 1130 onto the A61 heading either Ripon or Thirsk. Any ideas?
Not sure if this is the right forum or if its service suggestions but I propose ditching the Angel brand, which is now imo, irreversibly damaged and tainted.
Suggestions on other names? I quite like 'The 21'...says it all

(20 Oct 2017, 10:31 am)S813 FVK Blackburn for Refurbishment? It's Friday so 5328 should have returned allowing 5335 (fleet number order seems logical) to go down.

(20 Oct 2017, 3:43 pm)Dan They were originally taking two a week and bringing back two a week (one early on in the week and the other late on in the week) but the most recent examples have all been Friday morning drop-off and collect jobs.
Obviously taking more time now, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

(20 Oct 2017, 5:28 pm)Dans_bus_photos They also might have other work on at the same time. Its going to take a while to get through the last of the batch if only 1 a week is going.

(20 Oct 2017, 3:01 pm)Dan I'm doubtful that Go North East will move away from the "Angel" brand name - it is, by far, the company's top performing service. The brand can't be that tainted, if customers keep coming back to use service 21.
It would be even more illogical to move away from this brand name, when the Angel turns 20 next year (which is naturally going to attract people to the structure).
It'll be even better in 2019 - "catch the Angel 21 bus to celebrate the Angel of the North's 21st birthday!"

(20 Oct 2017, 5:33 pm)Dan Suspect as we approach the end of the batch, it will speed up again with two per week delivered, but the refurbishment work is likely to be ongoing until the end of January at the earliest, with 13 more to go.
Still means that Go North East have 8 buses away at any given time, and they couldn't really afford to have any more than that away at once (especially when they have their own repaint programme ongoing at Saltmeadows Road).
