RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - October 2017
It didn't delay it all, arrived in Newcastle on time.

I'd say if it was to divert its best bet would be continue along Chester road to the a182, then a194m and a195 to rejoin its normal route at Heworth?

I was on the A19 this morning (heading north and in the car) and I was stuck for ages as I approached Testo's.

An X9/10 had diverted off in front of me and shot along the A1231.
If that (or an X24) had carried on at that particular time, it would have been delayed quite a bit on arriving in to Newcastle.
The A184 looked like it was stationery. The filter lane off the A19 wasnt moving at all.

Good to see they are starting on repainting them. Although I do like the blue gas livery they are starting to look abit shabby as most of them have bits of branding missing. Would be nice to see them route branded in the Stagecoach livery however I cant see that happening.

Stagecoach will be providing free transport to SAFC Fanfest on Monday, departing Coxhoe at 0915 and Nevilles Cross at 0930 to Stadium of Light. Return journey departs at 1500. Tickets must be registered in advance though Travel is free.
Might be interesting for someone who wants a photo of one in an unusual place!

Prob using a staff van. Sunderland don't seem to have many fans judging from there attendence figures.

Being a Sunderland Fan myself, I like many others are unwilling to pay £30 or more for a ticket to the game when are getting beat week in week out, and said money going into the back pocket of an owner who doesn't care about the club or it's fans for that matter, this is the reason attendances are around the 20,000 mark each week.

And this is an event being aimed at kids in the Durham area, I imagine they'd have quite a few buses on, sure don't see Stagecoach doing this for those who support Newcastle, Gateshead, Middlesbrough or Hartlepool either.

Was shared on a private group so can't show, I'm sure they'll be on on soon enough. Standard swoops, with it coming onto the pod but red and orange not coming onto the blue skirt sort of MMC style.... The bottoms of the orange swoops are very poorly done, so much so they are different each side, notably by the rear wheel arches. They've also annoyingly painted them like the E200 rears on the side windows, where the black is squared off instead of rounded off like on other E300. Then they've done a strip of red above the engine grill which would have obviously looked better black, and red light clusters. Half arsed.

Is there a chance it could be out in service today? Or is it not completely finished yet

Not today. It's parked in the workshop - quite visible from outside if anyone wants photos.

Link to photos I took while I had a tour of Slatyford depot which I won in their twitter customer service competition. I enjoyed being taken round the depot and finding out about fleet allocations and how they know whether a bus is late.

White with vinyls on promoting Gas bus power would of been good.

24003 broken down/expired/at the end of its trip/finished (pick an option that suits) on the Felling Bypass outside what was Reg Vardy's VW earlier on.

Blocking inside lane and it's hazards on.
The driver was standing by the side of the road.
