I'm a bit baffled to why that was chosen, unless 27501 was in too bad of condition.

Who needs heroes anyway? Villians have more fun.

That one has already been claimed by the Manchester Museum of Transport.

Not sure if it has been noted yet, but the 21 branded deckers have been decorated in three external stickers as part of the Gateshead Angel Birthday celebrations.

Attached a quick photo giving an example of two sticker locations on the vehicle.

An additional sticker on the nearside, just above the blind.

Castles Express also have them.

Is that the one with the bloke in the shades and the woman glaring at him in such a fashion that he must have 'let rip' or killed her cat on the way to the shoot?

Must admit to missing them on there. Saw a few and didn't notice them. Same colour and location?

The Castles Express StreetDecks only have the white 'contactless accepted' or 'free Wi-Fi' vinyls. This was done as part of the other amendments being made to the Castles Express buses; including fitting new rear vinyls externally, fitting vinyls to the rear upper and lower deck windows internally, fitting the 'table game' vinyls, as well as the blue sky vinyls on the top-deck.

They were fitted over Monday and Tuesday, one bus after the other, with Contactless StreetDeck 6332 filling the void at Crook.

Majority of the Angels had the 20th birthday / white vinyls near the destination added on Monday night, and the last few should have been caught last night.

I saw a B9 crossing the Hylton Bridge this morning and the board it appeared to be on, didn't tally with the board mentioned in that post.
So as well as the vehicle having whatever issues it had first thing, there's at least one more branded vehicle not on route - mind it goes without saying that it could be for a number of reasons.

Can't say I'm a fan of the new features wording on the front. The destination screens have been simplified to make them nice and clear, but now they're clagging text around them.

I wonder why  there are issues on this service.are they the new vehicles that have problems, or is it replacement vehicles that are the problem

If replacement vehicles were having problems that would surely also point to there being an issue with one of the new vehicles? (Obviously excluding instances of routine service etc.)

Go North East has a set process for evaluating vehicle purchases, taking into account a whole range of factors so it’s not impossible that further Citaro might be ordered.

(09 Feb 2018, 11:41 pm)G-CPTN wrote I don't believe that the 74 has any Nexus involvement.
It might be Northumberland County Council, although I believe some support contribution came from Stamfordham, Matfen and Ponteland Parish Councils at one stage.
I happened to be in Newcastle Eldon Square bus station today when the 74 was leaving at 17:35 and there were several passengers waiting who boarded - looking as if they were regulars.

74 is a Northumberland secured service, and the Council sets the timetable.

For the Night Buses N21/N56, how many staff are required when these services are running? From drivers to shunters, engineers etc.

I know the Tyne Valley Ten is a shared brand between Riverside and Hexham.

Which Depot runs the 10, or is it split between depots and how is it split?

I think Riverside do most of the 10A and 10b
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018
The full length 10 is run by Hexham, although I think during evenings Riverside do some trips?

Thanks, that’s what I thought but wasn’t sure. What made me doubt this is the first couple of early Morning Newcastle / Blaydon departures, obviously leave heading for Hexham before a Newcastle bound service arrives, so I guess in this instance these buses run light first from Hexham to take up their position on the route heading back to Hexham.
