Service extended to South Shields via Pier Head, the service will no longer serve Prince Edward Road and will operate in both directions between Harton Nook and Marsden. The service will operate along the 516 route between Marsden and Pier Head. The service will be reduced to hourly and will operate later into the evenings and Sundays.

Shields Circular 30 and 30A:
South Shields - Chichester - Tyne Dock - Primrose - Fellgate Estate - Boldon Asda - East Boldon Metro - Cleadon Pond - Harton Nook - South Shields.
Services 30 and X20 combined to provide a hourly circular service in both directions.

*New* X4: Sunderland - Fulwell The Grange - Witherwack - Red House - North Hylton Road - Hylton Castle - Town End Farm - Downhill - Boldon Asda - Gateshead High Street - Newcastle.
This service will provide the North of Sunderland with direct links to Gateshead and Newcastle. It will also reinstate the link from the North to the Monkwearmouth Hospital. To speed up journey times, new Service X1 will operate on a ‘boarding only’ basis between Sunderland Interchange and the Durham Road, with no stops for alighting until Doxford International.  It will then operate non-stop to Gateshead High Street and Newcastle Pilgrim Street.  Journeys from Newcastle will operate as ‘alighting only’ between Durham Road and Sunderland Interchange.

NEW Service X2 will operate via the existing X24 route between Newcastle and Sunderland University, then instead of serving Vine Place and Fawcett Street will operate via St Michaels Way and Grange Terrace to Sunderland Interchange Stand G.
To speed up journey times, new Service X2 will operate on a ‘boarding only’ basis between Sunderland Interchange and Gateshead High Street, with no stops for alighting until Gateshead High Street and Newcastle Pilgrim Street. Journeys from Newcastle will operate as ‘alighting only’ between Gateshead and Sunderland Interchange.

Both services will operate half hourly Monday – Saturday and will interwork requiring a PVR of 5 (achieved through faster journey times and the changes to terminal point in Sunderland).  The increased frequency will allow the use of lower capacity vehicles, improving fuel efficiency.  These changes will also enable the frequency of Service 4 to be restored to 10 minutes throughout the evening peak as the vehicles will no longer be required for Service X1.

One problem, I don't think Stagecoach would want to pay to use the bus station that much, that is one of the reasons why Stagecoach don't serve Gateshead Interchange, Heworth. That is a reason why the E buses were pulled from Park Lane aswell.

Not only Park Lane stands missing services they seem to be missing the famous security who confront you for taking photos of the buses.

Although not Stagecoach but i'm not sure why the 73 stops at stand S, should be stand R, then stand S,T and V can be used as drop off/parking (if the parking bays full).

Could do but would probably need to add 5-10 mins per jourey to get round/through town - so would likely add another bus to the PVR.  That was the thinking behind of terminating on the edge of city centre, kind of like the X24 & X34 do in Newcastle at the minute

New Express service between Sunderland and Middlesbrough, this service will replace service 1 between Seaton Carew and Middlesbrough whilst providing new express links from Middlesbrough, Seaton Carew, Hartlepool, Dalton Park to Sunderland. Journeys on service 1 will be revised to operate between Seaton Carew and High Tunstall only.

This service will operate every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday and hourly Sunday.

I'm guessing that would be Sunderland and Stockton depots? Giving Hartlepool depot yet another kick in the teeth!
