Let's be honest, not having NSA fitted is far superior to the XP ones!
I assume it's a hardware upgrade and not just a software upgrade with the age of some of the systems. Although Linux (depending on the distro at least) is pretty light weight compared to an XP install!
I remember when the B9s were new to the 10 and the NSA was barely functioning then, and the situation has only got worse since!

It's at Riverside again now.

Which distro of Linux does it run on?

Four out of the eight buses have faulty systems requiring repair by Hanover, though, so either aren't working or can't be updated.

Its been a few weeks since i heard the sun fm announcements to be honest so i thought it may just be that they were not working on those vehicles i was on, I didnt realise they had been discontinued already

GNE have a corporate E200 on display at Coach and Bus UK. It does look rather good in the red, perhaps a little bland

Illuminated logo and side cant rail. Interesting.
We’re pleased to announce that working with local colleges we’re near to agreeing a standard for accepting their ID cards for young persons' fares. Existing arrangements remain in place for now but we hope to have this launched in the next few days. Please check back for updates.https://twitter.com/gonortheast/status/1179388076080148481

Sadly not all student ID have DOB so they I would imagine will not be accepted, but time will tell.
Optare Solo SR 636 is a Percy Main and is on the 42/42A today. No doubt here for it's winter holiday.
Also hopefully that Merc demo on the Hospital shuttle is around a little longer, I still need to photo it, had no luck at all the last 2 attempts thanks to weather and traffic.

That E200 in red is by far the best looking bus GNE have, looks modern, clean and is a complete reflection of how the GNE brand should look.
(02 Oct 2019, 7:05 pm)Michael wrote That's quite smart actually, surprised they have USB ports though, was this part of the contract?
Also, glad to see they could be used on normal services too, however, what are the times for the NHS shuttle and does it run 7 days a week?
Is Riverside running the contract?
Wonder where 635 will end up.
635 is at Consett
