This is why they should just stick to one bus!
Having said that, as much as I hate the design of the E400, I hate it slightly less than the low height StreetDeck!

Just like every other major operator does?
(16 Oct 2019, 12:19 pm)gordondackSome try and standardise on a particular brand, like Stagecoach with ADL. But GNE seems to have a batch of everything going!

I've just seen 5421 on a Shields - Durham run.
Running late or early (no idea which - although looking at the timetable, it could have been the planned 17:08 Houghton) and its displaying 'Durham Claypath'.
Since when has that been a terminating point?
There's nowt on the timetable to suggest that there's a terminating service there and if I was wanting to go to the bus station, I'd be expecting a bus that would take me there.
Unless of course, the driver has selected the wrong destination.
Which begs the question - why is 'Durham Claypath' registered?

(16 Oct 2019, 4:14 pm)Andreos1Claypath was used as a terminal point for the 20 last year at some point - possibly for the duration of the Lumiere event, maybe? The destination was added to the list then.I've just seen 5421 on a Shields - Durham run.

But X21 only getting 2. Unless the 6cylinder is coming in blue Xlines.....MG did confirm all streetdecks would be Xlines
I thought I read that there were going to be two for the X21 and one spare. Might be mistaken though!

If that was the case then they would of had another 16 plate in corporate livery? If the rumours are true about being extended to west Auckland etc, maybe this extra one will make up PVR?

True, unless the 6 cylinder was intended to be in corporate as it's supposed to be trialled on all decker routes, but with them thinking about extending to West Auckland plans may have changed. I guess we'll never find out!

Saw what I think was 6340 on Lobley Hill Road this afternoon possibly heading for Consett. Green Arrows 5490/92/95 were out today along with 5498 which is in fleet livery

Or something else from East Yorkshire?
Would make sense having the 2 streetdecks in blue Xlines after 6333, 6337 is one of the 64 plate E400s so 6336 in corporate colours could be the other. Then 6341 for the green back streetdecks.

It's all just a confusing mess! Would have made a lot more sense to just number all the StreetDecks consecutively then put the E400s after that. But I suppose with the B5s being in between the Xlines and Angel StreetDecks it doesn't really make much difference!

I think that doesn't really matter too much. Was more annoying have the first B9s from 6001-6007 then having the presidents inbetween the next batch of B9s...then the omnidekkas and then more B9s
