RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2020
Don't think it's been mentioned already, but photographs shared on the "Busesnortheast" Facebook group note the transfer of 19207, 19208, 19209, 19210 and 22415 to Stagecoach East Midlands (Hull).

19210 has been repainted into the plum Interconnect livery - quite surprising to see given the UK re-brand!

Hi Dan,

I think 22415 has always been East Midlands based. Could it be 24115 that has been transferred? Just asking.

Cheers.

They join 19194 and 19196 which landed just after new year (accompanied at the time by 19210), and 19195 which landed with 19207/8/9.
Pictured is 22415, but is a native East Midlands one and has been up for disposal since about August time when Hulls latest batch of E200MMC were delivered.

Believe they are for Skegness, to oust the Vykings.

Walkergate have 22022, 22024, 22065 and 22437 - although 437 is pretty much goosed. 22444 was under prep at Walkergate to move across to Slatyford, may well have moved across but it's not been out in service.

Slatyford have 22067/70/80/81, 22341-48, 22408-13, 22424/28/43. 22066/82 longer-term VOR, but still onfleet, but likely not not see the road again.

22444 has certainly seen service at Slatyford and 22082 is back on the road.  22346 is long term VOR and 22080/81, 22342 have all been absent for a while.  22068 is also still in regular service at Slatyford.

I wonder which vehicle will be the first to be painted into the new corporate livery?

They could swap them with the new E200MMCs on Teesside if it comes desperate to get Euro 6 buses...
Why would stagecoach teeside swap the 69 plates for old buses it wont make sense and plus there only 6 month old

Apparently on bus times stagecoach teeside 26280 has returned apparently it done 1 stop on 36 3days ago is this true ?
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2020
I don't think stagecoach on teesside will swap there new 69 plates for old ones buses I don't think.
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2020
A numberplate on a bus means nothing to bus companies, anything can happen, eg, GNE swapped 16 plates for 10/11/61 plates on the 40/41/42/42A
Kind Regards

I don’t think this is a particularly common thing!

With the introduction of Xlines, seven high specification Solo were required to operate the X6/X7 and X20 services. Naturally they had to come from one batch of indiGo services, be it Peterlee, Washington or North Tyneside, and the one already operating with a mixed Solo fleet (four older examples without the enhanced spec) was the North Tyneside group. Doing this also enabled fleet standardisation, with all of the two types of Solo (minus 697) grouped together.

That said I do think Stagecoach will keep the Teesside E200MMCs in the back of their mind. Their preference will be to obtain council funding to retrofit buses with SCRTs though.

Tees Flex App now live on App Store. Stockton & Darlington zone covers a vast area and allows both town centres, rail stations and Teesside Park as a destination. North Tees and Airport currently out of bounds so assume this needs fixing? Redcar and Cleveland zone similarly useful and a generous drop-off zone in Redcar. App theoretically allowed me to book a journey between Redcar and Guisborough which I thought wouldn’t be allowed. Hartlepool zone is very restrictive and most of the rural area covered has no population. Can’t help but think a single minibus an a timetabled circuit of Elwick, Dalton Piercy and Hartlepool would be more worthwhile. Interesting that Tees Flex can be used to travel from Hart to the Hospital and town centre, which is already covered by Arriva in the 57, yet the zoning is very careful not to tread on the toes of any existing Stagecoach service.

Disappointed with the R&C zoning system and seeing places like New Marske, Marske, Saltburn and Upleatham not included in the zones. Yet Redcar, Guisborough, Skelton are - despite having decent levels of ANE services currently.

Looking further in to this. https://www.stagecoachbus.com/media-libr....jpg?la=en states you can get a bus from the zone, to a destination beyond the zone. Skelton to Saltburn Station as an example.

However, the app doesn't let allow the booking to be made.

How it works is as followed:
You can book a journey from a spot within a zone to one of the ‘secondary’ destinations - which in the case of Redcar and Cleveland Zone is Redcar, Skelton and Guisborough. But it needs to be booked as a return journey as you can’t book a journey from a secondary destination to a destination within the Zone.

Is Tees Flex going to operate as a 24/7 service or between 9 and 5 for example?

0700 to 2000 Monday to Saturday
9 vehicles out - understand from the driver who attended the Information Drop-In in Stillington on Thursday that the plan is to have 3 vehicles in each zone at the start of the day and move them round depending on which zone has the greater demand I.e. if Stockton and Darlington is busier than Hartlepool, then one of the drivers in the Hartlepool zone will be diverted to help.

S830OFT. DO YOU HAVE ANY PHOTO OF 26280 in Teesside since it came back to service. Robin
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2020
Tees Flex has indeed started today - albeit not the best day to start (what with the snow)

So far, the majority of the Sprinters are showing on Bus Times apart from 44032/6/7.

As such, the following have been showing in the following Zones:
T1 (Redcar & Cleveland): 44035
T2 (Hartlepool): 44017, 44033 (based out of Hartlepool depot)
T3 (Stockton and Darlington): 44005, 44031, 44034

44006 has been showing up as spare for Hartlepool zone, 44015 showing as in Stockton depot as spare

Except the app doesn't appear to give an option of a return journey.
At least not until the point of confirming an order.
As the example I used yesterday wouldn't let me confirm the order, then I'm not sure where the option would be to book a return.

On the link I shared yesterday, it has both Redcar and Saltburn Station as possible destinations.
Redcar Station is available to select on the map. Saltburn isn't.

Understand there's some glitches with the app as launched - they somewhat appear to have been amended today (although Billingham isn't showing as a destination despite the Railway Station supposedly being one (not the Town Centre oddly).
The app wouldn't allow for booking yesterday as it hadn't launched yet - you can book now but the journey you were attempting to book won't be possibly anyway as Saltburn isn't available to be a destination.

Saltburn Station is according to this link (https://www.stagecoachbus.com/media-libr....jpg?la=en)

I've been playing about with the app today and whilst the apparent wait time for a vehicle doesn't seem too bad, there's certainly glitches - which I would have expected to have been ironed out by launch.
There's been enough time to get things like that sorted.

Im assuming thats to do with the 18 and 32 now being partially being funded by Nexus? Lets hope Sunderland are in line for some new vehicles in the new financial year then to replace all these MAN E200s they are getting lumbered with.
